I was traveling earlier this week and had my radio on and came upon a talk show interviewing a woman re: Sugar Shock. She's written book (naturally) on this and has "walked the walk" of sugar addiction etc. I went to the website and found a plethora of information on this topic. It has to do with sugar and how it can affect the body and seemed to have alot of valuable information.
I'm insulin-resistant and of course have begun SB and it's working in the weight loss catagory (though slowly) and I"m pleased with how I"m feeling. I've deviated from program from time to time---mostly due to the circumstances at hand of not being able (poor planning, I'd say on my part) of not being able to find or have SB-friendly foods. I can tell the difference in myself when this happens...in that I don't feel as well, I'm craving food etc. BUT then in reading more on sugar and it's affects I can see some value in this topic. Has anyone HERE heard of Sugar Shock (or the author)?? Just curious on other's comments!!! |
