Phase 1 Breakfast Ideas

My boyfriend is having a field day with starting this diet. His biggest question is for the most important meal of the day - what can he have for breakfast?

The catch is that he wants something he can eat while on the road. It's not like he can get up and fix a gourmet meal every morning for himself since he's already up at 4 a.m. trying to get ready for work.

Any ideas?

Try the quiche cups. You can make them ahead and freeze them or put them in the fridge and microwave them when you want them. They are really good! You can find the recipe on the Food and Recipe Section.

Try hard boiled eggs or meat/cheese rollups.

I make egg custard and have it with tomato juice. I love them cold. and can take it to work.

If the meal isn't satisfying enough (i.e., he's getting too hungry too early), try adding some NF/LF cottage cheese, NF plain yogurt, or even a glass of NF/LF milk. For veggies, beans are fine. They're OK cold (maybe with cottage cheese) or hot (maybe with eggs).

I'm a caveman, and basically eat the same thing every morning, which includes two eggs over medium, a couple of small sandwich-thin steaks, and two slices of turkey bacon.

I've started Phase 1 of the SB Diet a couple times after going on some vacation benders, but overall I've lost 50 lbs.
