Well, if your willpower cracks and you eat alot of biscuits, you will still have a wardrobe issue and you'll be no closer to where you want to bYe.

You are on a road and your decisions can a) open the ability to move towards your destination ie on plan or b) have no chance of moving you to your destination and possibly moving you further away.

So it sounds like you need to grit your teeth and fight through it. Dig deep and i think you'll find you can overcome this.

Also, you may be converting some fat into muscle. The scale never reveals that, only looser clothes do. Don't forget that this is a possibility.

I'm kinda lucky in that I got back on track before I had to completely revert to my larger clothes. I slipped back up to XXL shirts but I was able to wear my 36in jeans still, though they were getting tight. Now the jeans are a loose and I'm able to wear some XL shirts.

Malta is in the Med. sea right? You have seasons there with large temp swings? Here winter can go from -10f to 100f in the summer, so there's a marked difference in winter vs summer wear here. I always assumed that the warmer climates of the world have a smaller difference in what they wear seasonally.

Well now... The scale says I lost a pound. Could this be true? is the stall coming to an end? Or am I being taunted by an inanimate object? lol.

Nothing too exciting. Same old same old for food. The difference and it wasn't intentional was that I didn't eat any fruit or grain yesterday ie it was all P1 stuff. I had celery for a snack instead of a bannana and just had a green salad with my grilled chicken. So I forgot my brown rice.

In a way that's good. It's a sign that I don't need to eat rice. I wasn't obsessing over it and i didn't even realize it till I was in the shower this morning. Hopefully it means, some of the eating is becoming more natural for me. I never ever really ate enough veggies the first time I did SBD.

In the past it would have been:
"What kind of rice do you want with the chicken?" My wife asked.
"I dunno, whatever sounds good", I replied.

last night she just decided to make a green salad, I didn't even have to think about what to have for a veggie. No asking either.

For years she's complained about our crappy diet. I never ate many veggies and she used to. We got married and my picky eating won out. Now I'm eating them alot more then her, lol.

Excercise: walked about 2 miles. I was hoping to buy DDR for the Xbox 360. I figure it's good excercise and would help my foot speed in VB. But the store I went to didn't have it, the bastards :(

Well the scale claimed that I'm down another 2 lbs. Some of it may be dehydration from VB last night. I woke up feeling thirsty and kinda 'dry', if that makes any sense. Not as bad as Wednesday though.

I think the stall is over. Which is a good thing. I'll know more over the weekend.

I strayed from plan for dinner yesterday. I had 2 bunless cheeseburgers and about a cup of brown rice. No veggie. I didn't make one and thought I'd throw together a quick salad after eating the burgers and rice but I was full! So I definately need to cut 1 burger out of the mix.

I guess my stomache is shrinking on me. I used to be able to eat 2 burgers w buns and fries and get the feeling I had from what i ate last night.

I missed my morning snack as well, got a bit too busy. I was feeling tired and hungry after lunch. Not a good sign, I felt like I wanted dark chocolate. So I had my 16 oz of skim milk then and that settled it down.

The coolwhip I got to have with my bean brownies was just the fat free stuff. I was supposed to get the sugar free stuff. I did read the label and saw corn syrup. I was questioning it but not enough. I got it from an endcap and they just had the regular and light coolwhip, so I thought 'this must be it'. I should have gone into the regular frozen section to verify but I was too lazy. I had it Tuesday and Wednesday night, but not alot since i had my doubts.

The brown rice is not triggering anything. I've been eating it plain and like it that way. No butter or spices being added.

excercise: 3 hours of VB

Well that wasn't dehydration. I lost another 1.5 over the weekend. Didn't do anything too special. That's 22lbs in 30 days. Way faster then expected!

Having a harder time following the plan when I'm not at work. Almost never have a morning snack, my diary, and morning veggie aka V8 all dissapear.

Still not having any food issues though. I'm supposed to add another fruit this week but I ended up adding WW flour. The weather was bad Friday night, so I couldn't grill. I had a SB pepperoni pizza with some salad. I like the SB pizzas. So I figure WW is the new addition.

I've had brown rice a couple more times with dinner and I'm not having any cravings/side effects.

Well, the downward spiral continues. Another 2 gone as of this AM... I expect to see a either an increase or a stall over the next few days ie I'm not believing that the lose is real and not just a fluctuation.

Yesterday wasn't a great day per se. I only got a few hours sleep, no idea why. So I went home around lunch time and went to bed. So my lunch was more like a snack...

B- V8 and scrambled eggs
MS - 16 oz skim milk
L - cheese stick
AS - Some SB peanut bar thing
D - 1 burger, can of green/wax beans, brown rice. I also had a few stalks of celery while waiting for the grill to be ready.
NS - 2 fudgcicles.

The problem I see is my grain/starch is still low. I'm probably averaging about 1.5 servings a day, if that. I need to up it a bit. Being in week 3 of P2, I should be having 2 - 3 a day. I have some WW wraps kicking around. Maybe I'll start eating those to try and boost the number of servings.

The good news is I cut back the burgers from 2 to 1 with no bad side effects. Actually I was a bit bloated last time I ate 2. Felt fine last night with just the 1.

Well I kept steady at 212. I'll definately take it.

I had a WW wrap w/ natural PB(just peanuts and salt) for an afternoon snack. The wrap was 71g, so counted as two servings. No noticeanle side effects from it.

I did slack off a bit at dinner and didn't eat my veggies. Hopefully no one shows up to spank me for being a naughty, naughty boy  lol.

B -scrambled eggs and v8, shocking huh?
MS- 16 oz skim milk
L - two alarm chili salad! mmmm, good
AS- WW wrap with PB
D - grilled pork chop and about 1 cup of brown rice.
NS- fudgecicles

Excercise: 1 hour class and 3 hours of VB

No change today. That's good though. I guess yesterdays drop wasn't all just water though ya never know.

Someone else noticed my weight loss today. Unfortunately it was the woman in my exercise class that I really wish would stay away from me. I'm the only guy in most of these classes and she's definately made comments in general, nothing about me luckily, that would get a guy possibly nailed for sexual harrassment. These classes are in the company gym.

She ran over grabbed my shirt and pulled it tight behind my back to show someone else that I lost weight. If it was one of the other women in the class, it wouldn't have bugged me as much. But this one always stands near me and it bothers me a bit. I guess I may be able to relate in a small way to women that feel like some guy is looking at them a bit too much and makes the occasinal comment.

Her comment in tuesdays class was: "Look at all those guys around her." and something similar. She was talking about the woman being wheeled out of here by a bunch of EMTs. It's pretty regular to have the EMTs take someone from here every 3 - 4 weeks, healthy work environment eh?

Yeah, I'm being a wuss. Now if only she'd go stand someplace else in these classes... Waaaah.

I ate almost the same as yesterday except dinner and my snack. Dinner was chili with mock cornbread. I didn't eat my veggies again :? For snack I had some of the no bake choclate oatmeal cookies. So I guess i cheated in that I added rolled oats a bit early.

exercise:30 min ab class and 30 min cardio class

Now only if she were fit and cute. Oh wait, my wife would kill me.

Things can't be too bad if that's the biggest thing I have to whine about at the moment.

Well the scale says I'm +2 lbs from yesterday. It doesn't concern me too much since I really doubt I gained 2 pounds in a day. I figure it's more water fluctuation, more on that later.

So I had my first cheat since starting almost 6 weeks ago. Had lunch at a Chinese restuaraunt and had beef fried rice. Not an end of the world cheat. I didn't touch the fried, crispy things that they bring as an appetizer. No idea what they are called but I love 'em. I didn't feel too munchy afterwards, always a good sign.

The reason I think there's some water weight involved is because of volleyball. I drank 64 oz of water while playing and another 24 oz when I got home. So I drank about 98 oz of water in the window of 7 pm - 11 pm, when I went to bed. I didn't wake up this morning feeling dehydrated, though i really needed to go if ya know what I mean.

I did go a bit overboard with the no bake oatmeal cookies. I had 3 when I got home from VB and another one before bed. I should have stuck with just 2.

I'm still real happy with my progress. I haven't been making the best decisions lately, ie missing veggies in a couple meals, fried rice, etc. None of it has felt real craving driven. I just didn't feel like bothering with a veggie with those meals, etc. If my hiccups can stay minor like this, I'm doing ok.

B- V8 scrambled eggs
MS- 16 oz skim milk
L - fried rice
AS- piece of mock cornbread. I like this stuff....
D- 2 cheeseburgers and a cucumber. It was a good 10 inches long, so I figured it was close to the veggie requirement. I could have gotten away with 1 burger, I know but didn't.
NS- 4 no bake oatmeal cookies

exercise - 3 hours VB

Not a bad weekend. Down to 210.5. I need to dig out an older pair of jeans to see if they fit. these are jeans that have been sitting in a bag for 10+ years maybe more. I'm pretty sure I didn't get rid of them. I tend to be a packrat of sorts....

My current pants can be removed w/o unbuttoning them and I'm on the last notch of my belt.

Food this weekend was a mixed bag. I had a small piece of chocolate cake at my nephews birthday party. No noticeable side effects. I had peanutbutter on a 2 serving WW wrap for breakfast Sat and Sun. Sunday i overdid my nut portion too...

Still lost though, so no complaints.

Today 236/210.5/200.

Scale stayed the same today. Always a good thing since it's a sign that the drop yesterday wasn't som odd fluctuation.

I'm not lower then I was when I stopped following SBD in Nov, 06. I'm losing weight better too. I really slowed down once I neared 213 last time. I am following the plan much better then last time though. I'm eating the veggies and diary, so I'm not eating as many grains as last time. I'm excercising more as well.

I also am not real P2ish even though I about 4 weeks into P2. Once in awhile i'll have rice, or a WW wrap, or a banana but some days I eat all P1. I'm not feeling like I'm missing anything. This is by far still the easiest weight loss plan.

B-scrambled eggs
L-chili salad and cheese stick
AS - 16 oz skim milk
D - 2 cheeseburgers and a can of wax beans
NS - fudgecicles.

excercise: went to the driving range, so nothing too rough.

today 236/210.5/200.
