My sister wants to join the South Beach Diet :)

I've been on the South Beach Diet for 2 months now and lost a total of 17 lbs. I still have a long way to go, about 43 more lbs. I'm 5'5 and 178lbs right now, 195 when I started. I'm really determine and dedicated to this diet.

Now my sister saw my results and want to join me on the South Beach diet. She wants to lose 10 lbs. She is 5'0 and 130 lbs. This is what I gave her so far....

1. Printed version of the Phase one allow food list so she knows what to eat.

2. Phase 1 guidelines on what to eat every meal (Breakfast,snack,lunch,etc..)

3. A printed meal template, so she can right down what she eats, what time she eats, and how much water and exercise.

4. I gave her some advice, I told her not to eat any fruits or Starch on the first 2 weeks.

Well thats about it, tomorrow will be a brand new day for her :D.

Sounds like your sister is pretty much set up and good to go! However, you forgot a crucial element of Southbeach ...

It is not a diet! It is a way of life!! Once you grasp that concept, you will travel far :-)

I hope it can be a part of my lifestyle, so I can travel the distance to the new healthier me :).

I'm going to check what she eats and see if it allowed. I going to be there to answer her question from my experience's.

It be nice to see someone in my family share the same diet and weight loss. :)

I hope you will make sure she reads the book as well! Otherwise she'll have no idea why she's eating those foods. It's really important to understand the plan.

Maybe. I just don't know how well it will work out longterm if people blindly eat without really "getting" it.

i tried with my husband and he did great at first. then he gave up and gained it all back.

I agree it is very important for her to read the book.
It is the only way to make this a way of life IMO
