| I've been on the beach for 2 months now and have lost about 12 pounds. I fell off the wagon a few days ago and have eaten wayyyy too much sugar. My joints are killing me now. Knees, hips, neck.....Sugar is really evil. |

Mary,
Sounds like you may have a little candida problem. I deal with that and it shows up by making my joints ache. I actually do better when I cut out the sugar and white stuff. That's what makes this diet ideal. I think that Candida is a huge problem in our society. It comes from all the processed food, white flour, sugar, rice, pasta and antibiotics that our meats and milk have in them and also the ones we get from out doctors. My joint aches showed up when I had my last baby. I was Group B strep positive and the doctor gave me up to 4 bags of Penicilian. Wasn't long after that that I noticed the aches and they only got worse.
You can't really get rid of yeast but you can discourage it's gowth by taking Acidophilus or eating lots of unsweetened yogurt with live cultures. And of course staying away from sugar in all it's forms.
People hear you say Yeast/Candida and the automatically think vaginal yeast infection but systemic yeast/Candida can cause many different chronic health problems. Just type Candida symptoms into your computer and you'll be amazed.
I'm glad you found out the culprit of your symptoms. Good luck with SBD. |

| Thank you for your reply. I think you are right about me. I am going to get some acidolopholus (sp?) and also check into Threelac. I scored an 80 on a quiz regarding candida. I crave sugar constantly and of course, this makes my sugar out of control. Thank you for your reply! |
