| and vanilla is a flavoring and is not an allowed yougurt type in P1. just the plain which you can dress up with allowed drink powders, sf jellos, sf syrups, extracts, etc., but you have to start with plain (or greek) yogurt. |

If you've added the vanilla and sweetener yourself to plain NF Greek yogurt, yes.
If not, it's probably a product we don't know about yet. I'm not familiar with a no-sugar-added NF flavored Greek yogurt. (It is "no sugar added," right?) Could you post the ingredients? Thanks.
Edit: changed SF to no sugar added. (Yogurt has natural sugars from milk, which are fine. It's the added sugars we want to avoid.) |

That's true with the yogurt we know about. But if this is a new no-sugar-added product, I'd like to find out what's in it. Greek yogurt wouldn't need starch, etc.
Edit: changed SF to no sugar added |

| I've never found a sugar free vanilla greek yogurt. Oikos (by Stoneyfield farm) has a nonfat vanilla greek yogurt, but it's got plenty of sugar in it. So does Chiobani. If someone's found a fat free AND sugar free, I'd sure like to know! |

| After looking further at the label of the non fat vanilla greek yogurt it does have 11g of sugar. It is organic sugar of course. Thanks for all the information, I will wait til phase 2 to have it. Is there a rule of thumb as to how much sugar can be in an item in phase 1? |

The "11g of sugar" is from the nutrition information, not the ingredients. The nutrition information doesn't tell you whether the 11g of sugars are the kind naturally found in milk (fine) or added to sweeten the yogurt (not OK).
If you want to know whether this yogurt is OK for P2, please post what it says on the container after the word "Ingredients". |

It sounds like there might be "organic sugar" on the ingredient list. It's hard on stuff like this, where there are both natural milk sugars and added sugars present, to suss out how much of each there is. That's why it's best to just avoid the ones with added sugars so that you know for sure.
Is Greek yogurt typically lower in lactose than plain yogurt? |
