| I just started P2. This morning I planned to have a cup of Uncle Sam cereal. I added Splenda and about 1 1/2 - 2 tbsp of granola. Ate 3/4 of the mixture. Now I'm thinking that I probably messed up by adding the granola. Is it approved? |

According to the P2 food list, cold cereal is 30 grams/1 ounce/3/4 cup. The serving that I had was exactly 1 cup (didn't know the allowance was 3/4), mixed the 2 tbsp in it with about 5 pecans and Splenda, then ate about 3/4 of the mix.
However, I don't know if granola is P2 friendly as I don't see it in the food list. |

| Probably not (usually too many added sugars and fats, not necessarily the good kind), but you only had a very small amount anyway. |

| healthy eater - the same rules would apply to granola as to cold cereal. If you're buying it from a bin - check the label next time. Granola is pretty easy to make - though I haven't done so in a very long time - check out the food/recipe discussion and you'll probably find a recipe there that is okay to ahve |

Most granola in the market has way too much sugar.
If you enjoy granola, you're better off making it yourself.
We have several recipes in the recipe area that meet the guideline.
Enjoy, |
