I often bring cut up veggies with me to work. I don't use dip, just try to stick with cucumbers and mushrooms. I'm not a big fan of hard cheeses either, and when it's hot I worry how they will be. My second snack in the afternoon if usually a 3oz pouch of tuna fish that I eat at my desk. I'm not sure if they have the pouches available where you are. Hang in there for p1 and I'm sure p2 will get much easier when you can bring a piece of fruit for a light snack.

Breakfast is very important, I normally eat 1/2 cup of LF cottage cheese every morning before 6:30 and I'm usually good until I allow my snack at 10.

Keep us posted on how you're doing! :D

Okay, I have tried my luck with phase 1 for the prescribed 2 weeks - more or less successful, have lost - what was it? 13lb's or so and in the last week only one pound, so I think I am entitled to move to phase 2 - read my normal eating habits EXCEPT the sweets that have crept back in during the last 6 - 8 months.
I will report about my trials to find my food in a foreign country in my journal.
Bye for the phase-1-er's

Do you have peanut butter where you are from? I have found that a tablespoon of peanut butter helps immensely when I am really hungry. Just put it in a small container, the smallest you can find, and take along a plastic spoon (if you have them where you are), if not a regular spoon.

Celery sticks would go well with that, and they are better room temperature, in my opinion.

If you do not have cheese sticks where you are, do you have access to blocks of cheese? You can make your own sticks. If you like mozerella (which is what most cheese sticks in the U.S. are), you can just cut sticks of it and put it in a plastic baggie, or whatever container you have. One of those usually helps me out a lot when I am hungry between meals. Pair it with 5 or 6 walnut halves, if you can get walnuts. Very tasty.

Peanutbutter is available - how would all the American immigrants survive without?
I tried nuts and yogurt and it was okay.
