| At the supermarket, are there any brands of bread that are WW and SB friendly too? |

| BTW, I LOVE the Brownberry Oatnut. I haven't added it in yet (only a little into P2) but that's the only kind of bread we ever had around before I went on SB, so it'll be easy to add that back in! |

I'm so afraid of gaining the little I've lost. With that said...
Amy: how often can we have bread in a given week? I'm guessing one slice per serving? |

| Once you are fully in P2, you can have 2-3 servings of grains/starches a day. So techincally you could have 2-3 slices of bread a day, but that's not a good idea! I would suggest a variety of grains/starches. So, maybe a sandwich one day (count as two servings) and some oatmeal and rice the next day... |

| FWIW, breads and any whole wheat/grain flour products are still pretty processed forms of grains. Most people are usually much better off starting off with more whole forms of whole grains like brown rice, quinoa, steel cut oatmeal, barley, or even whole wheatberries than with bread. Or with starchy veggies like sweet potatoes which are in the same grain/starchy veggie category. just my 2 cents. |

It isn't recommended to double up on grain servings. You get much better glycemic control if you spread those out throughout the day. But, yes, a variety is definitely recommended. |

| Just be careful and read the fine print on the list of ingredients. I am surprised at the number of "healthy" breads that have high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient! |

Hello all,
How about using whole wheat flour?
I made 3 crepes with 5 1/2 table spoons of whole wheat flour 3 eggs 2/3 cup of skim milk, salt and garlic powder. I stuffed them with cheese extra lean ground beef and spenach. I eat only one and left the other two for tomorrow. Anyone knows if this recipe it is ok for phase two???
I am trying to be creative
If anyone is interested I will provide the recipe |

| I checked serving sizes of bread, english muffins, and mini bagels today - all of them are ~55-60 grams per serving - that equals 2 servings on SBD - one slice of bread at 47-48 gm makes a sandwich about 3 servings of starch. I'm going to do without for a while longer since I don't see the benefit [for me!] of a one slice sandwich |
