Hi all,
This is my 8th week of Phase II. I have made mistakes sometimes and haven't had that much weight loss. I feel great, tons of energy, but I am really struggling to lose any more pounds. I lost alot in phase one, and do not expect to lose a ton, but a pound or two a week would be nice. I have 100 pounds to lose, so weeks of no weight loss is frustrating, and I haven't cheated at all. The first for me on any eating plan. Not one ounce of white anything. I don't have a lot of time to get on here and read lately, but I know from stuff I have read, that I need to tell you what I am doing.
I was only getting about 2 to 3 days a week in on the treadmill, burning like 400 calories. I was still feeling really tired until last 2 weeks, and my energy started to increase. So this week I am trying to shoot for 5 days a week to help increase my weight loss.
I vary my breakfast a lot, because I get bored so easily.
One egg, one slice of turkey bacon, 6 oz V8, one slice of natures own 12 grain (whole) sugar free bread. Sometimes I have an orange or two strawberries or an apple with this.
or
Bowl of shredded wheat, wedge of light laughing cow, 6oz V8.
Lunch is almost always the same. Its just easy for me to not have to think about a brand new idea for lunch.
Romaine hearts, grilled chicken cuts, low sugar dressing, usually add some nuts to my salad, and eat a cheese wedge with an orange.
Dinner, of course varies. Lately I am on a grill kick, so grilled chicken, grilled peppers, onions, 1/2 cup of whole grain or beans. I always drink about a 6 to 8 oz glass of fat free milk.
Dessert
This is where one of my mistakes happened. I got a recipe off of here for cookies, it was the whole wheat choc chip cookies and found out that it was not SB, from another post somewhere else, like 2 weeks later, and though I only ate 2 for my dessert, it very well could have been what has stalled me, since I would eat them on and off..
Otherwise I use my 100 calories of sugar free popsicles and no sugar added fudgesicle.
But most nights, I do not have dessert.
If I get hungry during the day, I have a cheese wedge or nuts.
This is about it. One to two cups of coffee a day, water mostly, and an occassional caffeine free diet soda.
I was 281 when I started SB on March 3rd. I am 263 most days. I have dropped to 258, and go up as high as 265. But on the average I am 263. All of this weight was lost during Phase one. I can't seem to get in the 250s and stay. I thought maybe if I go back on phase one, I could get more weight off, but ultimatley I will most likely stall again, since I haven't figured out this whole phase ii thing yet. I must be doing something wrong, reading something wrong.
I am not sure where to go from here, just keep on not losing? I know I am healthier, and yes, that is the most important thing of all, but part of being healthy is losing weight when you are 100 pounds over. Sorry for such a lengthy post, but I was trying to cover it all...... |

| Thanks, I got them deleted! Nuts, if whole almonds 4, if chopped, 1 to 2 tablespoons. I do not eat a grain at lunch, I either have 1/2 cup of shredded wheat, or a slice of sugarfree 12 grain bread in the morning, and at dinner either 1/2 cup of whole grain/brown rice or pasta, about once a week, if I do not have rice or pasta than I usually have 2 slices of bread. I have had 1 WW tortilla when I have made Mexican food such as grilled chicken and cheese quesas. This is only on occassion. So about 3 grains, 2 fruits. I do not eat fruit everyday, but most days I do. I am trying to be better about eating it everyday. I do not count every little item I eat, because that's why I love South beach. The rules are there, and not all that counting like I am on a diet. Maybe this is costing me some weight loss.......But I think if I have to start counting everything I eat, than I will just feel like I am on a diet again, and ultimatley this will cause me to fail. I use my hand as a measuring tool, and try to stick with it, except with rice and pasta, that I measure. At 2 pounds a week I would be at 22 pounds weight loss. I am at or around 18. So I am not so far off, but I just thought with no loss in 8 weeks I should maybe ask for some advice. |
