I went to Chili's this past Sunday and had the fajita's (Beef, chicken, shrimp & grilled onions, bell peppers) I skipped the tortilla's and snacked on a few bites of the cheese, salsa and guacamole). I was completely satisfied - came home afterward and has some SF Jello
I love this plan
Today is my first day on P2 - Went to the doc and am down 5 lbs as of today

Make sure to read the label on that ground turkey. If it's not just turkey breast, it's probably not any better for you than ground beef. The normal "ground turkey" that you can buy (often frozen, sometimes in tubes like sausage and ground beef sometimes are) is very high in fat.
Other than that it sounds like a good dinner! |

| I discovered that a couple of years ago...ground turkey - not ground turkey breast - can be just as high in fat and more expensive than lean ground beef- maybe better fats? don't know, but the revised food to enjoy states specifically ground breast meat. |

Which salad was there a problem with? The only two I saw mentioned were the caesar salad (no croutons, very little dressing) and the one I posted.
The Monterrey Chicken from Chili's that the OP had for lunch. I assumed it was a salad, but maybe not. |

I looked at the meun- not a salad, chicken breast with all that stuff, comes with mashed taters and something else.
My Mexican restaurant serves monterrey chicken that's just tomatoes and avocodo under melted monterrey jack....yummybut I have them leave the cheese off [when I want cheese, I want exceptional, even just a little taste] I think it's time for lunch - everything is sounding good right now! |

No its a lean turkey its from some better living brand or something very low in fat, very loow in everything I've been using that as a substitute for my ground beef its really healthy it seems. No more grease or anything..Day two is looking better I had a veggie omelet this morning and I just had some fajitas and man it was hard to not eat tortillas being that I am mexican but I got throught it Mexican food is awesome my mom cooked really good rice ut I was able to not give into temptation. I feel proud, now for the sweet tooth I just got its kicking in pretty bad right now but I'm probably going to eat some jello or something thats not sugary or anything |

| Julie, I have been able to SBD-ize lots of the mexican food...if you've got enough veggies and spice - brown rice isn't a lot different....use leaner cuts of meat - skirt steak not allowed now....but flank steak works great. I've made some pretty decent pork with chili's [like you'd find in pozole...but alas, no hominy!!!] poached eggs over mashed seasoned black beans and fresh salsa my SO [hispanic] said they were better than most huevos rancheros. I've never been much for enchiladas if I had good grilled meat and guac in front of me!!! |
