SBD Vegetarian Style....

Okay, so I am a lacto-vegetarian, which means that I don't eat any animal products with the exception of dairy. I am normally a vegan (no animal products at all), but I jsut started a new job, and our finances are a bit tight....regular dairy is generally cheaper than non-dairy. So once we get out finances in better standing, I will be eating vegan again.

Of course, being vegetarian (or vegan) is a bit different than the "typical" South Beach Dieter, but I manage to get along just fine! On here I will be posting my food for the day. I may not do it everyday (I am a pretty boring eater and can eat the same thing everyday for the rest of my life....sometimes....so that could get really repetative), but I will post as often as I can.

Pre-Breakfast:
8oz Metamucil Drink

Breakfast:
Tofu Scramble with Mushrooms and Tomatoes
2 slices Fakin' Bacon
8 oz. Vegetable Juice

Snack:
French Cut Green Beans
Few Sprays of I Can't Believe it's Not Butter

Lunch:
Salad with Lettace, Red Cabbage, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Black Beans, and Ranch Dressing

Snack:
Broccoli
Few Sprays of I Can't Believe it's Not Butter
String Cheese

Pre-Dinner:
8oz. Metamucil Drink

Dinner:
Grilled Portabello Mushroom Cap
Couliflower Mashed "Potatoes"

I had a REALLY bad sweet tooth yesturday, and ended up going to bed early, so I didn't get my dessert (SF Jello) like I planned, but I was fine. My husband (who is trying to do the diet too) didn't have such a good day, so he figured he would top off the "cheating" with a fast food run....good thing I was already in bed!! I hate to admit it, but I feel good when he does bad and I do really good! Haha! I know that is horrible, but I feel like it motivates me. I am a competative person, so I'm sure that has alot to do with it. Anywaiz, here is the plan for today:

Pre-Breakfast:
8oz Metamucil Drink

Breakfast:

Celery
String Cheese

I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray

Pre-Dinner:
8oz. Metamucil Drink

Dinner:
Portabella Mushroom Cap
French Cute Green Beans

Yesturday was a pretty good day for me! I had a TON of energy and it alwaiz feels good to feel the good effects of the food you are eating you know?! Instead of felling crappy and tired, I felt healthy and energized!! It was a good day!
