I survived "Thanksgiving in May"

To make a long story short, my girlfriends and I planned our traditional Thanksgiving dinner for last weekend, since we couldn't all be together for the real holiday.

Wrong time to be in Phase One!

I had turkey (no gravy), green beans, and a diet Dr.Pepper. Passed up on the yummy stuffing, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, wine, and hardest of all, the fresh apple crumble pie.

I have no idea where I found the willpower! I kept wondering what a brief little cheat would do to my metabolism, even just one bite of each forbidden thing. But in the end, I decided a two second taste wasn't worth setting back my weight. I sure hope I can hang onto that mindset, because avoiding sweets and carbs seems to be getting harder instead of easier!

Good luck to all of you in your temptations, keep up the good work!

WOW!! Great Job resisting temptation. I know what you are going through. I have 4 kids and they decided to make chocolate chip cookies (one of my major weaknesses) I almost had half a cookie and like you decided that it was not worth it. I guess if we all work together we can make the journey easier. KEEP UP the Good Work !! :D :D :D
