Hello! I'm a newbie to the South Beach Diet. I'm psyched and up to the challenge! I took a whole bunch of before pictures for comparison later, but here's one... nothing like posting an extremely ill-fitting dress to motivate me into shaping up! I have a wedding to go to this summer, and I am going to wear THIS dress and it is going to look good, goshdarnit. :D
May 2, 2008, at 177 pounds. I certainly hope Dr. Agatston is right about losing the belly fat first! Haha.

You can do it!!
I started SBD on March 31 of this year, weighing 170.5 lbs. I am now down 20 lbs. and have 10 more to reach goal. Yes, the belly fat does go fast!
I printed off a bunch of Phase 1 recipes that sounded good and stuck to those. I also waited for my stomach to growl before eating. I got serious about exercising, too, and now hate it if I miss a day. I now have plenty of energy to keep up with my 6 children!
