I just had to post this because I'm so proud of myself and need to share with SOMEONE lol. Tonight I went ou tto Indian food for dinner with friends but completely ignored the naan while everyone else was indulging! I had my chicken (i think it was sbd friendly but who knows...i tried though). The real hard part came, though, about 15 minutes ago. I'm exhausted while watching tv, and I ahd the most unbelievable craving for sweets---like ot hte extreme level tha ti had before i started phase one 9 days ago! It was so bad that i was about 1 minute away from literally running to the vending machine and ending eerything. I don't know what came over me but it was completely unbearable and i was willign to throw it all away. But then i thought that i've already done 9 days, going on 10 toorrow (and i'm going to sleep soon). Once i satisfy my sweet toothe, then im going to be stuck with starting over or eing back to where i began--but i know i'll e so rustrated i won't do it> So i just need to suck it up and wait a few mintue and the rcraving HAS to get better. well, it did! I still kinda awant it, but i don't feel the insane urge pulling me to get sweets as i did a while ago. This website definitely helps--i knew that I coudl just come on here and write ou tmy feeling sand then it woudl all be fine.
Anyways, I just wanted to share this little story with everyone so that next time you feel like giving up because you have an intense craving or don't think it's working----just wait a bit! That feeling will go away and then you'll be really glad you didn't cave in! |

Congrats!! It's so hard when ypou REALLY want something. For me, if it's night time like it is now, I just find that going to bed helps. Usually it's just a craving, and I'm not actually hungry. So I just go to bed, & wake up in the morning with a fresh start!!
Have a good one :D |

Congrats on staying strong!
I had the same thing happen this morning - I went to breakfast with a friend and she ordered buttered toast, hash browns, sausage and eggs, loaded it all up with ketchup. I was dying! Plus it was at IHOP where all of the food on the menu comes with pictures...even their extra-delicious french toast filled with cream cheese, covered with powdered sugar and fruit!
Somehow I managed to eat two scrambled eggs and a side of canadian bacon and didn't give in. But MAN it was so hard!
With all those pictures of food around and all the bad things that restaurants serve, is it any wonder that so many people are overweight?? |
