Am I Doing This Wrong?

So I started SBD on Saturday and six days I've lost six pounds - but I'm afraid I'm eating too much. Here's a sample of my daily meals:

Breakfast: 2 eggs, a sprinkle (and I mean a sprinkle!) of shredded regular cheese, broccoli, onions, and two tiny slices of burnt to black regular bacon (to get rid of excess fat.)

Snack: Pistachios

Lunch: Salad (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.), hamburger patty with one slice low-fat cheddar, red wine and oil vinaigrette dressing; half cup of chickpeas sprinkled over the salad.

Snack: Cup of iced coffee with 1/2 cup of 1% milk plust peanuts or pistachios (who knew they could be so addicting!?!)

Dinner: Two cups of vegetables (or salad), chicken, or hamburger/turkey patties; or fish. Half cup of chickpeas on the side/over salad.

Snack/Dessert: 1/2 cup fat free plain yogurt with a little sugar free jello mix to add flavor.

Tons of soda (caffeine free) or water.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong because I'm not counting points or calories; and I did have some reduced fat Thousand Island dressing the other day.

Am I doing this right?

the only thing i see that's glaringly wrong is that nut servings are limited to once a day

dump the regular bacon
dump the low fat TI dressing
can you use reduced fat cheese?
if you want you could double your milk or yogurt...

If I get rid of the nuts, what is an acceptable snack between meals?

A good one is a combination or pairing of raw vegetables and either protein or fat - LF cottage cheese, a LF cheese stick, hummus, guacamole, or an acceptable dressing/dip. You could also have NF cottage cheese or dip made with NF yogurt, but a little fat with vegetables helps us absorb and use the nutrients and also helps fill us up. So I'd go for the LF cottage cheese given the choice.

Some other light food such as a cup of soup or some yogurt would be a good choice also.

you don't need to get rid of ALL the nuts, just the second portion. you get 30 pistachios in a serving once a day if that is your nut of choice! (different nuts have different quantities that are roughly equivalent to a 1 oz serving. see the food list thread in the FAQ for exact numbers)

Also you have 1 cup total of dairy in there. 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of yogurt and you are allowed up to 2, so you could have some more yogurt for another snack, or expand the current amounts.

Often if you feel like you aren't "dieting" it usually means you are pretty much on track! ;)

Use canadian bacon. You don't need to burn it, because it's not as fatty. (unless you like your bacon burnt. Some people do)

Good job with the water. But do away with all the soda. It has added sugar, High fructose corn syrup, etc. Not healthy at all. Stick to water, tea, coffee (with skim milk and "fake sugar", splenda, nutrisweet etc.) v-8 juice...

Congrats on 6lbs!! But don't feel like you're eating too much. The point is that you arn'tm supposed to go hungry. Don't feel like you need to starve yourself to loose weight.
