I am on day 8 of P1 and began taking Synthroid for my hyperthyroidism.

Anyway, up to date, I have began losing weight and I've almost 10 lbs during this past week.

I'm worried that I might be losing weight too quick and it might actually be bad for me.

Can someone help me please?

Most of that large initial weight loss is water weight from depleting your glycogen stores by removing a lot of the "easy carbs" from your diet. so the body turns to it's stored glycogen for energy (we're very efficient that way!) and when glycogen is converted to energy, it releases a lot of water that was attached to the glycogen when it was stored. You've probably been peeing more than normal too! ;) So it's not really unhealthy because you still aren't probably losing more than a 1-2 lbs of fat at this point. It will likely slow down in the second week and also when you transition to P2 in another week.

So don't worry. It's not particularly unhealthy, although there aren't enough nutrients and healthy foods in P1 to continue it for much longer than the recommended two weeks. Transition to P2 as scheduled, don't complain too much when you stall out and you'll be fine! Really!! :)
