My personal opinion: No. They make you look thinner temporarily because they press your belly in for a while, but your body will eventually spread back out. Think about wearing a tight pair of jeans - while you wear them your belly will mold to the jean's size constraints, and when you take them off your belly will adhere to that mold for a short amount of time. But once you loosen up or sleep, your body goes back to its normal shape.
There may be some benefit to the sweating, but the pounds you lose there are just water weight. I don't know if it offers any kind of support for the back or abs, but there could possibly be some benefit in that. |
