Hello per6sher,
I also have a heart condition and I am a diabetic. I have been on SB for a week and a half. I just wanted to let you know I have found SB to be great. My blood sugar is staying stable and I feel SB is very heart friendly.
You might want to check with your doctor before starting if you concerned, but for me it has been a very good thing :)
Hope that helps some,
Sue |

| It would be great for you but first you should talk to your own personal doctor. The new book just came out.. South Beach Diet Supercharged. If you can get that one I would recommend it. |

| just curious but did she say anything about starting in P2 vs. P1? Some diabetics are encouraged to start in P2 to keep their blood sugars from going too low I think, but some do OK with P1. |

She said P1 was ok for me to start at because my blood sugar levels have been extremely high for the past year!! Were thinking of going with an insilin pump but I was hoping to be able to control them myself before we went to that extreme, so I am praying the SB diet will help alot!! |
