Well two weeks ago my husband and I started SB diet. We have successfully completed Phase 1. Tomorrow we start Phase 2. I have lost 10 pounds and hubby has lost a whopping 20 pounds!! :D I love that we are doing this together and have each other for support. I have been concerned about hubbys eating for a while now because he was always wanting to eat out so I didn't have to cook. However his idea of eating out was always fast food. We have both struggled with our weight all of our adult lives. I'm hoping we can stick to this for the duration. I've managed to get him to eat a lot of stuff I couldn't even get him to look at before, but he's stoked since he's lost so much. We have both considered weight loss surgery at different times, but decided it wasn't for us. I think maybe we've found something that will work for both of us, yet not make us feel like we have to give up everything we like for the rest of our lives. So we're off to the second phase and time will tell. :)

wow! good job on the 10 and 20 lbs weight losses!! thats amazinggg!!
its so good to have support in your own home. It definitely makes the program more successful than when you are doing it alone.

Keep it up and good luck on P2!

That is fantastic! You and your husband are doing great. How wonderful to have him join you so you can support each other and eat the same things. Your successes are a great motivation for others as well.

Thank you all for your support. These past few weeks have been challenging and satisfying. Next week hubby and I have to go out of state for a few days and it's going to be fun trying to stick to this diet while having to eat out the entire time. I picked up the little book about what to eat in different restaurants so I'm hoping that will give us ideas of what's acceptable. Both hubby and I are down an additional 2 pounds each. We've been adding some grains back into our diet and so far it hasn't seemed to hurt either of us. It was really nice to be able to have something besides eggs for breakfast. I've never been an egg person so I've had to get creative. :D
I did create some pretty good deviled eggs that we both loved. I'll add the recipe at the bottom.
Meantime happy munching!
Dee

Dilled Deviled Eggs

4 hard cooked eggs, peeled and cut in halves
put the yolk part in a bowl and mash
add to the yolks
2-3 tablespoons mayo
1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard (more if you like mustard)
1 teaspoon dehydrated dill weed
1 splenda packet

Mix and fill egg halves with filling
I sprinked some pinches of dill weed over the tops for a garnish.
