I have read loads of journals on here and it is a really good motivation.
However I am a bit confused, I would like to be able to follow others on the same day as me?
Also - is there anyone from UK on here, not that it matters, but I think we can buy quite different stuff in the shops, it would just be nice to know someone else is doing the same thing and share experience.....
However - back to me.
It is my first time on this diet. I have the book and started it firstly because I have gained 10 k's in the last year, and secondly I have a friend who has had success losing weight on the SBD.
I am feeling great, a bit dizzy like today, and somehow hungry but no cravings bizarrely enough. Somehow I am just so ready for this and really want to lose weight.. I have felt rather down the last many months and my mood has changed lately, I am feeling much more positive and happy and it seems like the right time to try losing weight as well.
I am not terribly overweight but I weighed 82 kg at my last weighing (being 175 cm or 5,10") and that is way too much. Don't feel comfortable anymore at all. Hate pictures of me, the lot. I am determined to do this, but scared that I will not make it through the bank holiday weekend without alcohol. That is actually my biggest concern. Seeing friends and having fun in London means alcohol.
Help. |

| there are a few people on the board from UK, I'm sure they will drop in shortly to say hello! Have you got 2 weeks before your holiday? In phase 2 you can add in a glass of wine/serving of alcohol each day. As far as having fun requiring alcohol....ouch! how about just a little instead of a lot and pretend you're having fun [fake it till you make it kind of thing....] or sit back sober and laugh hysterically knowing its not you making the total fool of yourself - I just love to watch idiot drunks....until they get into their cars of course |

The dizziness may be partially a result of lack of good carbs and/or low blood sugars. Make sure you get in breakfast veggies and some milk/yogurt and/or beans/legumes will likely help too.
Also in the main SBD forum (you are in the P1 discussion area) there is a sticky thread near the top, "For our European Friends", that has a lot of suggestions, brands, conversions, etc. for those outside the colonies. ;)
Finally, there are often thread titles with "started 4/28" etc. that those who start at about the same time use to find others who have similar start dates. If there isn't one here that matches up with yours, then start one and maybe others will find you!
good luck! |

thanks so much. Now found the European forum too
PS luckily I don't know anybody who drinks and drives, and if you ever came to London you would realise that the park in the sun is better with white wine haha. Thanks again. |
