Hey guys! After reading the info on websites about the SB, I decided to give it a try. I bought the book, read it in 1.5 days. I even had dreams about this diet. I don't know why...maybe because I was just nervous. I'm going on vacation to the Caribbeans in about a month and I just want to feel good in my bathing suit. I don't see myself as overweight at all, but a little chubby. I'm 5'3 and weigh about 127 lbs now. Hopefully, I will get a lot of good advice from you guys. i will try and keep on updating my daily menus.
Today is my first day of Phase 1.
Menu for Day 1:
B- Two scrambled eggs, 6oz of V8
S - 10 almonds
L - 3 slices of turkey with salad, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, 2 tbsp balsamic vinagrette
S- 1 part skim string cheese
D - 2 small chunks for Cod fish, leftover salad from lunch, snow peas, a few nibbles of jalopeno peppers
Water: 2.5 32oz bottles
*Exercise - 30 min on the elliptical* |

Today I felt more tired than yesterday. I'm on Day 2. Only rode the elliptical for 20 minutues, I normally go for 30 minutues. According to my scale this morning, I lost 1.5 lbs since Day 1. Not sure if this is correct though but we shall see.
Day 2 Menu
B-Cottage cheese, V8
S- Celery stuffed with laughing cow light cheese
L-Tuna salad with cucumbers, grape tomatoes, kidney beans, snow peas, 2 tbsp dressing
S-13 almonds
D-Stir-fried chicken breast chunks with green string beans, kidney beans
Dessert-sugar free jellos
Water intake - 2.5 32 oz bottle
*Exercise - 20 min of elliptical |

1.5 lbs in a day sounds fishy but who knows. Why dont you wait a week to weigh yourself in the beginning of this diet. It would be so much more exciting than to go on every day and worry about each ounce up or down.

Thanks for the reply! Yea, I'm going to try my best not to weigh myself until maybe next Monday. I just couldn't help myself. I'm anxious but I know I shouldn't be. MUST BE PATIENT! I don't think I'm eating enough, I've been getting a little hungry after my meals. I chew sugarless Trident to help my hunger. Hope that's ok..
Day 3 menu:
B-Mock cinnabon (was pretty good), V8
S-String cheese
L-3 turkey slices with 1 FF slice of american cheese, handful of celery, 1 pickle
S- FF plain yogurt
D-ground beef mix with string beans and some onions
D- Sugar free Jello
Water-2-3 32oz bottles
*Exercise - worked on my arms a little, didn't have enough energy |

| i knew people on these boards benefitted a lot from lentils during P1 because its a protein and keeps you ful.. Why not try it and see if it helps your hunger. You shouldnt really feel hungry since you can have more vegis and protein if you want. |

So I can still have protein/veggies after my meals if I'm hungry? I thought we were only suppose to eat six times a day. hmm.
During work I was tired again. Maybe I'm thinking about it too much.
Day 4 menu
B-2 scrambled eggs with black ground pepper, V8
S-10 Almonds
L-Chicken salad with kidney beans, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, 2 tbsp dressing
S-Celery with light laughing cow cheese
D- will have Tilapia with green beans
D- FF plain yogurt
*Exercise - 20 min elliptical |

| you should be having 2 cups of milk or yogurt every day and 1/3- 1/2 cup of beans a couple of times a day |

| you can eat more than six times a day! eat when youre hungry. you shouldnt be starving yourself on ths "diet' |

My energy was a little lower during the first half of the day. But after I ate lunch and dinner, I feel like my normal self. I think I even might do some cardo in a little bit. Almost done with week 1!
Day 5 Menu of P1
B- Mock cinnabon, V8
S-String cheese
L-Tuna salad with garbanzo beans, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, 2 tbsp dressing
S-15 almonds
D-ground turkey, broccoli, barbanzo beans
D-Plan FF yogurt

Yesterday was my first Saturday on the SB. I think I did a pretty good job. Went to the mall and my friend had a slice of pizza at the food court, I only had a cucumber and tomato salad, didn't know what kind of dressing was tossed in it but hopefully not that bad.
Day 6 Menu
B-Two egg omelet with left over ground turkey, V8
S- yogurt
L-Cucumber and tomato salad
S- Garbanzo beans
D-Grilled chicken salad with tomato, cucumbers, onions (from a local deli), used my own dressing
Dessert- String cheese
*Exercise - 20 min elliptical |

Today is day 7, finished one week of P1. One more week to go until I get to eat fruits again! Today I felt like myself again, my energy seemed back to normail, I did cardio and lifted weights. So far I've lost approximately 3.5 lbs, something tells me my weight will stay the same because this was my normal weight awhile again until I started eating late at night and junk...
Day 7 Menu
B-3 slices of turkey with a tad of dressing, V8
S- FF yogurt mixed with 15 almonds
L-2 hard boiled eggs, bowl of green beans
S - mock cinnabon
D- Lemon pepper chicken breast, broccoli
S - SF Jello
*Exercise - 30 min elliptical, arms work out |

So it has been one week since I started SB. I stepped on the scale today knowing that I haven't dropped any lbs since my 4 lbs weight loss. But, I lost another pound! I know it's just water weight, I mean I don't think I look any different besides maybe a slimmer waist.
Day 8 menu
B- scrambled egg beaters, V8
S- String cheese
L- 4 slices of ham salad with kidney beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, and some shredded cheese, 2 tbs dressing
S- Peanuts
D-Salmon, green beans
D- yogurt

I went to my parents' house for dinner last night. Since we're an Asian family, we always have white rice with various dishes with it. Even though I had rice on my plate, I was able to avoid it, not one grain entered my mouth! I just ate the other dishes like fish, veggies, and chicken. I know some of them probably weren't SB friendly. I gained 1 pound back this morning. Boo.
Day 10 menu
B- scrambled egg beaters, V8
S-String cheese
L-chicken chunks (breast) with green beans, SF jello
S-peanuts
D-port chops with chinese veggies (stir-fried)
S- SF plain yogurt

In my P2, day 3 now. My weight has been the same since starting P2: 122lbs. I'm eating a pear each day and I miss it so much. Need to take it day by day.
Menu for Day 3
B- Scrambled egg white beaters, V8
S- Dannon Lit and Fit yogurt, 4oz
L- Chicken salad, kidney beans, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, 2 tbsp dressing, 1 PEAR
S- celery with 2 tbsp peanut butter
D- ground beef meatloaf, kidney beans, green beans
S- 1/4 (or a little more) of SF FF pudding (made with Silk Unsweetened Soymilk) |
