God I sure hope this works the second time around...
I had great success the first time I went on SB. I lost every pound I needed too (23 years old @ 5'1 I weighed 144 and dropped down to 110 within 6 months) back in 2002. I stayed healthy and looks really good up until about 10 months ago. I actually got really sickly skinny when I left my soon to be ex-husband, and I really felt like crap. Then, I met a wonderful man, and started eating again...
My new guy and I love to cook together! Unfortunately, we love to drink beer with dinner while eating lots of junk afterwards while sitting on the couch watching TV until midnight too. Boy, did this do a number on me. Now, I am porked back up to a hefty 130 (holy COW) and I just can't believe I let it get this way.
Well, enough is enough, and so I started back on P1 today (and took a much needed 30 minute walk). I need to drop this weight to feel good about myself again. GOD HELP ME! I love sweets, and I love my beer. I love my waist line more though, and I really feel like crap when I look in the mirror and see all my hard work gone out the window.
I'm gonna work hard (again) and get this weight off me. |

Thanks for posting! I agree, we need to support each other! :) Glad to have ya as a friend...
This is my second day back on the diet, and holy cow, I've already lost weight! I weighed my self the morning before I started the diet, and this morning I was 3 lbs lighter. YESSSSS! ;)
Yes, I do know they say your not supposed to weigh yourself every day, but I've always done it this way. Gives me something to look forward too, not to mention, pumps me up when I've lost weight. If I don't see weight loss, it pushes me to continue on the right track and to stick too it.
So, what do you snack on to keep yourself on track when you need motivation? I have pistachios that I eat... I try to change it up a bit ever day though. Any ideas??
Ok, I'm heading out to work out! :) |

I started on the 28th too and it is nice to speak to someone else who are at the same level.
I snack on Pistachios too, not really counting them, I have always always eaten a lot of nuts and well; I am just not willing to sit and count out 20 or whatever, but it keeps me from eating other stuff.
I agree it is great to see the scales go lower every morning hehe, although lots is just the loss of water. I feel a lot less bloated though and already a lot healthier.
Trying to take the stairs at work instead of the lift too, just too lazy : )

Hey Rosen and welcome! :) Glad you came by! Yes, I too feel much less swelled up in my hands, as my ring is very loose now.
Well, here I am on day 5 of P1 with no slip ups yet... I am marching full steam ahead and am doing really good. I do have dreams of eating icing though... HA!! ;) I woke up this morning really thankful it was a dream. LOL :)
I was having an issue with going to the bathroom, but finally the combination of sf metimucial and sf Milk of Mag worked today (thank GOD). I was feeling extremely bloated and stopped up (for obvious reasons... it's not normal not to go for 5 days). I feel much better today, and will continue to take the Milk of Mag & Metimucil (however you spell that) for the next few days to get myself on the right track here. Then I will continue just with the metimucil (hate that word!).
I also wanted to say, I am so thankful I have found this message board... So many of you are an inspiration to me. I feel like I belong! My Dad and I both do SB and we are made fun of here and there when we say, "It's back to phase 1!"... Well, actually it IS really funny to hear my Dad say it, cause he's constantly cheating and heading back to phase one... LOL:) Sorry, but this message board is wonderful. I just wanted to say that.
Okay, I will be weighing in tomorrow (now that I'm "unbound" a bit), so hopefully there will be progress or at least nothing backwards!!
Thanks for the support ya'll... You're doing great so let's keep it UP! Whooohoo! |
