How's it going? How did your weekend go?
I had a completely on plan weekend - except for not eating breakfast early enought - Saturday we started out laying tile in my living room and I got a late start, same yesterday cause I went to Costco before eating - but I did fit in my meals and did not find myself snacking so much - except after dinner...I tried a couple of new recipe/technigues and had fish 3 times -pan fried and roasted flounder fillets and mahi-mahi last night with a quick sauce of smart balance, splash of marsala, and some capers - oh my!
Down 7# since I started, I'm a daily weigher during hte week, so I was down 2 over the weekend.
And if you are into chocolate - you HAVE to go try the warm brownie recipe on the recipe/food thread. It is very easy to mix up in a food processer - mine has the smaller bowl insert...and if you plan ahead, put your serving of cool whip in the freezer and put it on top after the brownie comes out of the microwave - its enough to make a grown woman cry! |

Dang, Deb....I'm so jealous!!!! You've lost seven pounds AND had brownies. I've been choking down all the lettuce and celery I can stand, and I've gained a pound. LOL
I had a good weekend. Like you though, I waited too long to eat most of the time. |

Day 9: I'm down 5.8 lbs, that ALMOST 6! LOL
I've eaten the peanut butter cup every night: one nsa fudgesicle with natural pb mixed in. Heat to melt, mix, and refreeze. It is soooooo good that I don't even want the cool whip on top! One little serving like this is very rich. I eat it with an espresso spoon to make it last longer! ;-)
Tonight I'm making the mock fried rice with the grated cauliflower. Can't wait! |

I started on 4/21, have not cheated at all, and I'm not really struggling with cravings or anything. No weight loss at all.
Boo! |

| Valkyrie, how are your clothes fitting? A lot of people say the scale is the same, yet the've gone down a notch or two! How about it? Don't be discouraged now!! |

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm really glad I found this board because I would have given up if I hadn't read some of this stuff! This is a great resource.
I feel like I have more of a waist, but maybe it's just wishful thinking. |

I started on 4/21, and when I weighed in today had lost 4.4 lbs. Thing is, I had lost 5 lbs in the first few days, then it spiked up, now it's slowly coming back down. I'll take 4.4 though...it's a decent start.
Week 2 is always really slow losing for me (never more than 1 lb or so), so I'm going to up the exercise this week in order to get some real benefit. Can't wait to move onto phase 2 next week though. |

I would suggest not weighing yourself until the end of P1...weight DOES fluctuate between days..think about it, one day you drink a gallon of water, then next day you drink 2 cups (naturally you're going to "weigh" less the day you drink/eat less) if you are in a habit of weighing yourself daily and/or don't want to wait a week to weigh in again, try to weigh yourself at the same exact time everyday, or try weighing yourself every 3 days or so...
just a thought. The most accurate weight I think will be at the end of P1! :) |

Hey! Yeah, I know I shouldn't weigh every day, but that's just my way, I guess. It helps me to weigh every day...even if some days I don't like the results, it helps me to have that routine. It teaches me a lot about how I lose weight, also. I do always weigh at the same time, though.
Honestly, I never lose a lot during phase one...I'm just biding my time until I can get to phase two where I feel I can really make progress. |

I hear ya, I weigh myself every day also, and sometimes I don't like the results...just thought I'd add my two sense! :)
I weigh everyday because I weighed myself once and hated the number I saw, lost weight, continue to lose weight, and like to see that number drop every other day or so. (even if it's just a pound every other day  ) |

I had almost no weight loss the 1st time I did sbd p1 so I was pleasantly surprised this time. I am having a very hard time with cravings tho - I'd attack someone within range for cake right now - and I'm not a big cake person...tomorrow is donut day at work tho and as stressed as I am at work right now, it will be very hard to stay out of them. |

Exactly! It's motivating to see that you are accomplishing something. Of course, people who are easily discouraged shouldn't do it. lol I know enough about how I lose weight to not be discouraged by a few days where I climb (or a week or so when my weight hits a plateau and just won't budge).
This time around, I'm in better physical condition, so I hope to get a lot of walks and maybe some weights going to (when I've done it before I was still recovering from big surgeries that were pretty hard to bounce back from, so I didn't really exercise). That might make this week 2 of phase 1 different from my previous ones. |

Well I started on 4-20 and do not go near that scale often, it is not my friend! Stepped on after a full week of SBD and am down 1 & 1/2 #'s! I was upset a bit as I thought or hoped for twice that!
I now was trying to chnge my sticker, but I must be doing something wrong, can't seem to do it, also I wanted to put in a 1/2 # too, but no luck with it yet.
Good luck to each and everyone of us! |

| I kept a daily weight journal when I started SBD almost a year and half ago. I wanted to keep one every day, for my own sake. I was very strict about this WOE, so believe me when I tell you our bodies are really secretly roller coasters. AFter logging over 500 days of weigh-ins, it is interesting to see there is absolutely NO logic to it. |
