So I'm almost 4 weeks into the diet and I have lost almost 10 pounds. I haven't been at this weight since I was 18, and I have significantly more muscle weight than I did back then from all the running and lifting I have been doing.
The most incredible part of this diet for me has been the fact that my cravings are completely gone. I have literally gone through my entire life in a constant state of hunger, and it is weird to not have that anymore. I used to be a bottomless pit of snacking...I could eat until I wanted to puke, and then be hungry again 20 minutes later.
Everything I eat is delicious, and I've even cheated a little bit with cheese, beer, and some pizza last weekend. I've really been enjoying the process of looking up new recipes, and even checking labels has become pretty fun. I look at the nutritional information on some of the stuff I used to love and I'm blown away by how bad it is for me. It's no wonder Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce is so delicious...It has almost 20g of sugar per tbsp!
I can't wait to see where I'll be by the end of the summer. I have been so busy with finals that I haven't been able to work out...I'm on a fast track to feeling comfortable at the beach with my shirt off for the first time since 6th grade...Its a pretty amazing feeling. |

| Awesome attitude, and I agree, SBD IS awesome! What an encouraging story. I too enjoy looking up new recipes, although finding stuff in the recipe forum drives me nuts. Even with the search funtion I feel like I'm wading in deep water, haha! Keep up the great attitude. :) |

We have a lot of great cooks who post on this board. So also read the recipe summary (a sticky message) in the Recipe and Food area of this board. It will give you lots of easy and tasty recipes to try--all from other SBers. All the recipes helped me make SB easier to do. That is why I put together that recipe summary (table of contents) to good recipe links on this board.
