:D Hi all,

I am Angie, from Pennsylvania. I am a full-time Supervisor, part-time student completing my BA degree, and a full-time mom of 4 kids, 1 dog (and soon to be 2), cat, fish, & turtles. LOL All of this keeps me busy and as everyone surely knows, takes a lot of my time away from me.

Earlier this month I visited the doctor in hopes to discuss taking the Alli Diet. She pursaded me that it was not a good idea at all and asked me to give South Beach a try for at least 2 months and then come back to see her, as I have approx. 75 pounds to lose in total. I started South Beach March 31st and have stuck to the diet since I started. I am happy to say that I am down 16 pounds. SUPER HAPPY :P I also headed up a Biggest Loser Challenge at work, so this has helped me continue to stay motivated. It has been nice. I can honestly say that the first week was extremely hard, I was tired, hungry, and miserable. The second week I felt much better. I wasnt as tired, still had cravings, but they were minimal and I honestly felt much better. Now I do not have any cravings.

I have began the 4th week and I am still having difficulty adding in carbs. I was eating oatmeal with banana for breakfast and then sticking to the normal protein/veggie part for the rest of it, but I got sick of oatmeal after the 1st week of adding back. This week I am eating all the protein/veggie meals and just adding a whole wheat tortilla at lunch. I just dont want to add anything because I am not in the mood for anything. I have added a carb to only one meal so far each day. I guess next week I will have to try more.

Sorry this is so long, just wanted to share with everyone.

Take care and Ill update more later.

Hi Angie! I'm just in week 2 so I have absolutely no advice for you. But I am nervous about transition and look forward to learning from your experiences! Congrats on the awesome weight loss thus far!

Glad to have you here! No such thing as too long. It's your journal. Your post can be as long as you like or as long as necessary if you need to get something out.

Good Luck with everything. :)
