We might be going out to dinner tonight...I know to avoid the potatoes. I am assuming that Lobster Bisque is a no-no...what about veggies with a sauce--they have broccoli au gratin--says it is in a cheese sauce w/melted sharp cheddar? They also have asparagus in a hollandaise sauce...

I am sure that restaurants do not use cheese within the limits--do you just avoid all cheese when you eat out?

They basically ruin all of their vegetables, don't they? Butter, cheese sauce, etc. I tried to find nutritional info on their food, but it wasn't readily available. I did read a suggestion to ask for things prepared "dry" or else they'll smother them in butter (even the steak).

Dietfacts.com only had a list of carb counts for them, which is of course useless for us.

I didn't really see anything that would work as is, except for the Caesar salad if you get the dressing on the side and go light on it. Maybe you can get asparagus without sauce or butter.

For what they charge for steaks, seafood and their side dishes (I think everything is a la carte?) they should be more than happy to cook them anyway you want! ;) just ask! :)

Thanks!

We have a gift certificate but I think I will just run to the store and use my back yard grill to have steaks! I can make my own veggies then not worry about any of this. Of course, that means I have to cook...or should I say, hubby has to cook :)

We were at The Palm last night. It is very like Ruth's Chris.

I ordered shrimp cocktail, small filet mignon, steamed broccoli (came plain with no cheese or butter just as I requested) and coffee. A glass of wine and I had a great, SB dinner. Biggest problem was resisting the fantastic bread basket.

I was at Ruth Chris's a couple of weeks ago. I just asked for my steak "dry" (no butter) and asked them to steam the veggies with no butter or cheese. They were extremely accommodating. The prices were not, LOL!!
