Okay, I need this. After trying others, i really think this is the only way for me to go. So I will start Phase 1 today.
My goal is to lose 10 lb. My leanest time was on SB so this is where I'll stay.
Today I will start Phase 1. We'll see how it goes.
I need to make "baby goals" for myself. I am going to take it "one day at a time". I'm hoping this log will make me more accountable.
Goals for today: Drink 8 glasses of water; go to gym; stay on phase 1. |

Okay, did great yesterday. No feelings of hunger whatsoever. Don't know if it's cuz I'm just psyched to start new SB way or what, but whatever it is, i'm going with it.
Didn't get to the gym. Work was too insane, but I WILL GO TO YOGA TODAY if it kills me.
also, didn't do too well with the water, but I think I must have had about 4 or 5 glasses of water and I guess without exercise that's good for me.
Breakfast was great. (7:00) I had one egg with one white, one veggie sausage patty, and one summer squash. very filling.
wasn't hungry again until 11:30 and I had turkey wrap (of romaine lettuce leaves), little bit of light mayo, hots, and light cheddar cheese. parsley and tomatoes.
Full all day again until about 3:00 i had one whole boiled egg, which I stuffed in mouth as I was helping my kid with her homework, LOL.
Then around 5:30 was supper, 3 oz lean eye round steak, small salad, with oil and vinegar.
Cup of tea with splenda at night and a few peanuts in the shell.
WOW, I felt so good all day. We'll see how today goes. |

I think I'm gonna put down my measurements to see my results. I wasn't going to, but I think it will help.
Weight: goes back and forth between 113.5 and 115 (IKES--highest it's been in four years).
Height: 5 ft. 1 1/2 in.
Goal: 105 to 108 lb. This is when I feel my best. (so far, as I've never been below this, so I wouldn't know.
My thunder thighs would probably like to be smaller but that's another story.
Thighs: 22 1/4 to 22.5 in.
Waist: 26 1/2 in.
Hips: 35 1/2 in.
Butt: 37 1/2 in. (BIGGEST EVER).
My upper body is pretty lean so I never worry about that, but my bottom half is...well...that's another story.
So with those measurements down, let's see if we can decrease those a bit. |

another good day so far. no hunger cravings at all.
But now we're winding down and we're soon to watch American Idol.
This is where I like to have a "snack". I have sugar free popcicles in the fridge so let's see if this is what I actually have. My kids will want their frozen yogurt of course. LOL. I think we might watch the show laying in bed so we can't eat anything. LOL.
I went to yoga today and loved it. I took a short leisurely walk with the dog and the kids on their bikes, but still haven't been able to get in a real workout. Hopefully tomorrow for sure. |

Thanks Jo.
Well, I was pretty good during "TV" time with the kids. They had their things and I had 4 sugar free popcicles totalling 80 cals. for a sweet treat and then of course, old habits kicked in and I don't know why, but I had to have those darn peanuts. So after 3 1/2 cup servings, I raked in about 510 calories and who knows how many grams of fat. but although I know SB isn't about calorie counting, (I've been doing it for most of my life, so I could never stop), i still was at about 1600 cals, which for me, isn't actually too bad. (If i had gone to the gym, it might have been better, but am going jogging today with my dog, so that will help).
I'm a weightlifter really but really need to work on slimming down the lower half of my body so I'm not freaking out about skipping the gym and am happy with the yoga and jogging so far.
anyway, all and all very good day, no cravings whatsoever. no hunger pains at all. I love it. |

Thanks Jujyfruit for stopping by my journal!
I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow regarding the weight gain. I've gained another 4 lbs since my last post in the journal. How is the yoga going? I plan to start as soon as I get the go ahead from the GYN. Your mini goals are great! No doubt you will be able to reach them.
I know SB isn't about counting calories either, but here's a tip. I'm sure you can google the words calories or weight loss and find a calorie calculator online. Put in the your height and goal weight as if it were your current weight and let it calculate how many calories you would need to maintain that weight. This will give you a projected amount calories you need to reach that weight. In other words "If you want to be a certain weight, eat the number of calories for that weight".
Anyway, keep up the good work!
God Bless,
Angela |

hi wiley, thanks for stoppin' in.
I just started getting into yoga and I really like the ashtanga yoga (power yoga), I like the strength and power it makes you feel. But I have been wondering about "HOT" yoga. It's not real Bikram yoga where they do it in like 105 degree rooms very serious yoga, but it's like a loosely taught yoga but it is done in a room that is 105 degrees. There is a studio down the street from my house and i'm dying to try it. Supposedly you burn tons of calories. LOL.
So far I love it. sometimes it's embarrassing when you're trying to balance with one of the poses and your flip flopping all over the place while everyone around is you doing it perfectly and trying to relax. LOL.
How about you? do you do yoga?
And hey Mom41, thanks for stopping by too.
Yes, I am obsessed with those calculators, believe me, I have been using those for years. LOL. I also do Fitday too. It calculates all your foods, activities, ratios of calories, etc. I do it all. LOL.
But I do love SB and know that if I don't want to I don't have to count calories and feel so good about it.
Anyway, have a great day everyone !!! |

| used to be compulsive about food now moved my compulsion to Baptiste Power Vinyas Heated yoga. I practice five days a week. We have heated ashtanga at my studio and hatha as well but mostly vinyasa (heated flow) classes. I love it and am very strong as a result. |

Good luck with your weight loss! And thanks so much for the Fitday information. I've tried using Sparks, but it was confusing. I really like Fitday! I just joined. Very easy and well laid-out website.
I also think that instead of worrying about all the weight I have to lose, I'll just worry about 10lbs at a time! :) |

| another heated power yogi here just sayin Hi! :) I actually do a hot yoga which is the bikram sequence (they just can't call it bikram without paying a licensing fee to mr. choudhury and agreeing to other stipulations) as well as the power vinyasa which is an americanized, more free form version of ashtanga. It's all good though! :) good luck. With so little to lose it will just go slowly. Sounds like you have all the components in place to make it work over time though! :) Don't be afraid of moving to P2 when your two weeks are up!! ;) |

Wiley, That's what I love about yoga, the strength. I'm so sorry I never started sooner, but don't we all say that we find something good. LOL.
and gaia, yeah, I have been using fitday for a long time, and you can make your journal public too so if someone wants to check out your nutrition, like a nutritionist or whatever, they can see what you've been doing. you can't beat that for free.
Thanks for stopping in RedRox, I feel like I know you from reading all your posts. LOL. It's great to find friends in yoga as well as on this forum.
I have to laugh because when I'm reading everyone else's posts about how they want to stay in P1 longer and everyone is like no, don't and I'm agreeing silently, but when you're doing SB Phase 1 and you see how totally easy it is to still eat great foods, feel full and lose weight, you don't want it to end. LOL. But I love my strawberries too much (and bananas) so I know I'll start Phase 2 but I'm gonna do it right this time and do it SLOWLY, which I NEVER DO !!!!!!
Have a great day everyone !!! |
