I was just reading the Divine Intervention thread and it mentioned that SB works because it is the right amount of carbs and fats evenly across the day. This is a problem for me (same problem I have had with other diets).
I work two dayshifts (7am-7pm) two night shifts (7pm-7am) then four off. My dayshifts are fine although it is tricky to spread out food evenly over the day when I can't make supper until after 7pm. Plus trying to get to the gym after work. My problem is on the third day, I get up early, have breakfast and a snack while I am up. I take an afternoon nap, then get up and have to eat a meal. I have another snack and supper. Then I sleep all day, get up and have breakfast before leaving for backshift and the rest of my meals at work. My first day off after backshift, I usually sleep half the day so I usually only get two meals and two snacks in (sometimes not even that). Then I am good for the next three days.
I am in my second week of phase one. So far I thought it was going well but I am concerned now that it isn't going to be as effective. Does anyone have suggestions? Anyone in a similar situation? |
