I wonder if anyone on here has had their gallbladder removed and still had sucess. Has anyone had problems doing the SBD after having it removed.
I've always loved the SBD and had great sucess with it but I had my gallbladder take out over 6 weeks ago. I've read on other forums that its harder to lose weight afterwards and that you can't eat much dairy and fats. I'd appreciate if anyone has any input on this. |

I started SBD about 2 weeks after I had my gall bladder out. In April 2006. I've taken it slow and easy and I've lost over 60 pounds so far. I eat plenty of fats (love my salad dressings) but i tend to be light on dairy by choice. |

| I had mine out nearly 2 years ago. I am as normal now as before. Only better. I eat whatever floats my boat. If you have digestive problems from your removal you'll find out what doesn't agree with you. I don't think it mattered but I don't know how other people are. |

Wow! Hello fellow gallbladder losers!
Mine got yanked on April 1st... about five days into our first shot at Phase 1. Since I had a really tough time with the surgery, I had to jump off the wagon after a few days. (All I could eat were some saltines and toast).
But now, I'm one week into P1 and doing pretty well. I AM learning what my organ-less body likes and doesn't like... but I don't think that's any harder because I'm on SB than if I were eating other food.
One thing I've noticed... I don't think my gallbladder-less innards are big fans of sugar-free pancake syrup. I've had the ricotta waffles the past two days and gotten really bad stomach pains immediately afterwards. That sucks, because I love the waffles!! |
