Hi, Everyone and Happy Sunday!!!

I just saw a receipe on the food network and would like to prepare it, but I have a question or two.

Where do I get whole grain tortillas? Whole Foods??

The recipe was for a pack of grated Mexican cheeses (I'd use a combination of 2% cheeses); a carton of fresh salsa, a 10 oz package of frozen chopped spinach thawed and drained thoroughly; a can of artichoke hearts chopped. Cook all together until cheese is melted and mixture is hot. I think I would cut that recipe in half so as not to have too much temptation in the house.

The tortillas are to be cut in wedges, sprayed with cooking spray and sprinkled with salt, pepper and cumin and baked until crisp and golden.

The second question, the recipe sounds like good SB. Am I missing something?? Will this work for us?

Most grocery store are carrieng whole-wheat tortillas these days.
You need to read the labels carefully. La Tortilla Factory is a good brand that carries Whole-wheat tortillas.

If you can't find Whole-wheat tortillas, try whole-wheat pita bread.
There again, you need to read labels carefully.

The recipe looks SB friendly to me
I hope you're in P2 since you can't have any tortillas in P1.

Enjoy,

I'm on week 3 of Ph2, Ami. Thanks for your response. I found Garden of Eatin Whole Wheat Tortillas at Whole Foods. The ingredients are:

Organic Whole Wheat Flour, Water, Organic Soybean Oil, Sea Salt, Paking Powder, somthing called monocalcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, corn starch and Soy Lecithin.

The corn starch kind of worried me, but since it's the second to last ingredient.
