Day 4 of PH 1 (restart) - VERY EMOTIONAL

I'm on day 4 of PH1 and I'm crying, yelling at my kids, tired & just not myself at all. I don't remember feeling like this when I did PH1 the first time over the summer. Is this normal or am I just simply going crazy?

Yesterdays menu:
B - 2 eggs (fried w/EVOO), V8
S - 2% cheddar cheese stick
L - 1 cup homemade chick. salad on bed of lettuce & tomatoes, yogurt
S - 15 whole cashews
D - small piece of top sirlion roast; 2 cups asparagus

Some water, not enough.

You could probably add a lot more veggies, such as at your snacks, plus another dairy serving (assuming that "yogurt" meant 1 cup of FF plain yogurt). Some legumes as part of your veggies would help a lot as well.

It sounds like you might be experiencing PMS, that might explain your crying. Try to calm down, maybe have some warm milk with cinnamon and vanilla, or some warm chocolate.

I don't have any advice to add but I was very tired during the first 2 days of Ph1, until I added in more beans and dairy. I was off work and slept a lot (I live on my own), I doubt I could have coped being at work or around kids!

Don't give up, have something comforting like a hot drink, some nice sweet tea, wrap up warm and get an early night... {{{hugs}}}

Be sure to eat some form of protein rich beans. Make a taco salad with fat free refried beans or black beans without the chips. Drink your milk or eat yogurt. It's important.
