I have faith in everyone who does the south beach diet. Think of it as a new way of life, don't think of it as a diet. Any questions that you have, I'll be glad to answer them if i can. I've been on the south Beach Diet for 3 years. I've lost 70 pounds.I also exercise. I do still go back to Phase 0ne,after a party or some place,that i eat a lot of bad carbs.

Why do you go back to P1 each time? It's not really necessary since we're allowed to treat ourselves on occasion and it makes it more like the "punishment phase" which we try to avoid here. Other than that glad it worked well for you too! :)

I do it because, if I gain weight, i go back on P. one, and loose it. I only go back on P. one for a day.

If you are gaining and losing weight in a day each direction it is likely just water weight anyway. Our weight fluctuates quite a bit on a daily basis anyway. Sorry but especially for someone so young, it strikes me as a disordered eating pattern and not particularly healthy for you in the long run. I applaud you for losing the weight and getting into a healthy weight range and choosing a healthy eating program to do it (although you should have not done P1), but just be careful that your vigilance doesn't turn into an obsession, OK?
