I have a some stretch marks on my stomach and was wondering if they disappeared for some people? If they remained? Or if you used creams or something to minimize them?
I badly want to be able to wear a bikini and just wonder if they will be noticeable. Thank you :) |

| This is not spam, but I am a Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant. We sell a lotion that is good for reducing visible stretch marks(Timewise Visibly Fit Lotion), but I personally do not think there is anything what will truly get rid of them. (This is just my opinion, so if anyone has different feelings/experiences, that is great!) I'm sure there are other lotions/creams that will help reduce/minimize them, too. I, too, would love to hear about stretch marks disappearing!! |

I am from England and I am not sure if they sell this product over in the USA but their is a product called Bio-Oil it helps with scars, stretch marks, and so on, I have used this product myself and found it really worked. My marks have never gone away but they are less visable!!
Hope this works. |

Not to be "Dayna Downer" but here is my story.............. I have horrible stretch marks from my first pregnancy (my eldest is now 18 years old)
It looks like someone scratched my stomach around my belly button. Not attractive and I cannot afford a good plastic surgeon. Exercising does NOT help. Tanning salons make them look better but that is also horrible for your skin.
Sadly, Those 18 year old Stretch Marks have turned whitish and are not bright red the way they were when they were "fresh" but they have not gone away and at this point, I doubt that they will.
My teeny tiny bikini days are over but I have gotten very good at disguising them. I have never tried Bio Oil or any MK product as I don't think that they would make mush difference in my case.
Sorry to deliver bad news................... :( |

| I'm from the UK as well and again I don't know whether you guys can get it in the US, but my friend has/had stretch marks and she swears by bio-oil. It didn't get rid of them totally, but it made them a lot less visible! |

stretch marks are hereditary. my 15 yr old has them because her dad and bio-mom are both prone to them.
best thing to do is keep the skin well moisturized and not lose and gain weight rapidly.
exercise will do nothing for stretch marks. |

Well, I am a month into BioOil- I understand that it takes 3 monthes to see improvement. I am going to give it a try because at the 3 month mark would put me right in the middle of Las Vegas- We have a vacation planned- In my Opinion, it is worth trying...............
So far, so good.....no huge improvement but it takes time. It sure does make your skin feel good though. I will keep going and let you know how it goes. |

I'm with you on this one. I've had them for years, from being overweight. HUGE belly. LOTS os stretch marks. White ones. They will not go away. I've heard many tv shows about this---once that skin rips, there is no way to repair it. |
