| I'm about 212lbs, 5'7" and want to lose about 30lbs before July. I was wondering if staying on phase one for more than two weeks is frowned upon. Or if I should come back to phase one a little later to lose more weight? Any advice? Thank you! |

| phase 1 is just about busting the cravings... i would not stay in the safety of phase 1 any longer than the two weeks recommended. you will be missing out on important food groups should you do that. |

Dr. A. suggets for people that need to lose more than 50 lbs. to extend P1 up to 4 weeks provided you don't get bored with the P1 choices and start cheating.
On the other hand, it's also important to set small goals, so maybe you want to set one intermediate goal, do P1 for 2 weeks and move very slowly to P2 and reach for example your 15 lbs. then go back to P1 again and lose the other 15 lbs.
You can always go back to P1 when you feel you're losing weight and you might have stalled.
I also want to remind you that this is not a FAST way to lose weight, this is a way to eat healthy, losing weight is a side effect.
Good luck, |

| P1 is neither designed to be the weight loss phase, the punishment phase if you happen to make mistakes along the way nor the "accelerate a slow rate of loss in P2" phase. So on this board, it's generally frowned upon. We're more fans of getting into P2 to learn how to eat to support a healthy and active lifestyle and hopefully lose some weight along the way regardless of time based events that may be providing your initial motivation. But it's good to have goals and motivation to start! Just don't let them throw you off your game if it doesn't happen in that time frame! If it happens great and if you only lose 10 or 20 by then, then that's great too! The important thing is that you are willing to change your diet and adopt a healthier lifestyle. Good luck! |
