I'm in my first week of Phase 2 and it's going well so far. However this morning I woke up with a sore throat and feeling like I'm coming down with "something"---hopefully NOT the deathly virus that's been hitting about everyone else this past winter.
My question is---how do I approach my food with this?? As you all know, when one is ill the thought of food sometimes isn't foremost AND soups ( I would tend towards chicken noodle probably) seem the most palatable. Any hints?? I also know right now...I don't feel too energetic neither. What about exercise??? I've had a good momentum going and don't want to have a "blip on the map" going here!!!!

If whatever ails you stays above your neck then keep exercising to the best of your ability. Eat whatever you must to get better. Soup won't hurt your diet (I wouldn't use it as an excuse to eat M&Ms).

LOL! I'm chuckling at the comment about M&M's!! I hear you! I know the one thing that I "could" crave might be salty/crunchy and not sure what that's about. I will take what you say under advisement and thank you for your response!!

I follow the same "Rule of Thumb" as jams...

Lots of times I've noticed if I "feel" I am getting sick... and just get out there and run.... I am fine afterwards....

Chicken noodle soup without the noodles? Homemade would be best of course. I think it's the protein that makes us feel better and the saltiness that eases throat pain. Of course I'm sure the noodles give you a short burst of energy but we know how that will end...
