Of all the Slim Fast shakes the only listed as OK in the Good Fast Good Carbs guide is the Slim Fast Milk Shake.
Those shakes are only to be taking in an EMERGENCY when you're not able to eat or drink real food and NOT as a meal replacement, but as part of your meal. For sure you need to add some veggies and some cheese to go with that.
As it says in the GFGC guide page 97 "... certeinly, a good meal replacement bar or shake is preferable to fast food".

sounds like an oxymoron to me!! That's just a stupid comparison IMO.
A. they (being the official SBD folks) provide lists of options at fast food places that are probably better for you than an MRB or shake (e.g. a salad and chili at Wendy's) and...
B. comparing things to the lowest possible common denominator makes ANY other option seem better. Heck, a quality dog food might be a preferable option to fast food.
It's a real food plan. Neither MRBs and shakes really qualify very well when compared to what you really should be eating. |

| If you can remember to keep a bar or shake in your bag, or you are somewhere that one can be purchased...then why is it any more difficult to keep a bag of nuts in your bag or purchase something decent to eat at a convenience store? |
