Yes, yes, yes...switch doctor's!!!!! A few years ago I thought I might be hypo-thyroid as I had some of the symptoms. Doctor I went to said "nope you don't have that!" HOWEVER I don't think his test was accurate as I then decided to try someone else and she diagnosed me with it and put me on Armour Thyroid (it's a 'natural', not synthetic medication). My numbers even indicated needing to "up" the dosage from time to time for awhile until I leveled out.
A doctor who won't discuss issues with you is insensitive and arrogant! Doesn't he know he's only "practicing" medicine...and hasn't "arrived" to "know" everything??

For RedRox....you can find non-flushing niacin anywhere. Most health food stores or anywhere supplements are sold. I've heard that CoQ10 is inconclusive...but it can't hurt!

Can I use jarred, store brought Pesto Sauce for a dish made with fish on P1?

And I had 2 extra pieces of cheese today cuz I felt famished...the prepackaged 2% single servings of sharp cheddar is that a bad thing in P1?
Still making my way thorugh P1 and learning as I go :)
Thanks.

We buy a pesto sauce from costco that seems fine. But between the olive oil and pine nuts, it's very calorie dense. Just use sparingly as your good fat. BTW, if you list the ingredients for things like this you have questions about, it's a lot easier to give a good answer as to it's SB applicability.

cheese is technically unllimited as a protein, so probably OK in P1, but it is also somewhat calorie dense. Better to reach for extra veggies, but proteins and fats will help you feel more full.
