I was on SB for many years but recently have had many bouts with diverticulitis.......have to eat no fruit, no vegetables no whole grain, nothing BUT white pasta flour....i basically can eat any SB foods,, help
no nuts , no lettuce

Could you get a second opinion on the foods?

My dad has that and he eats everything except nuts, seeds, and corn (or corn products).

yes, what Teeni said...the current opinion is that a low fiber diet is what CAUSES diverticuli to start with. You probably should avoid nuts, seeds, and popcorn if you are having a flare.

Is that diet from your physician? [MD or DO type?]

Do a google search for diverticulitis diet, only look at medical links - not personal opinion links...here's one from the National Institute for HEalth, which is where I typically start my medical searches [as a legal nurse consultant] when I want the definitive basics.
