I have jsut started SB. I have pretty much been eating Phase 2 kind of eating for years. My problem has always been giving to cheating almost daily. My question is can I just start in Phase 2 without cheating or is it really necessary to start with phase 1?

depends. why do you "cheat"

since P1 is designed to get rid of the cravings that cause 'cheating' maybe P1 will be a good thing for you.

I guess the reason why I cheat is because I just want to. Plain and simple - I only want to lose weight most of the time.

I think Phase 1 would be good for you. It's only two weeks.. It should get the "cheating" under control if you follow it! :)
