Headaches

I have never really exercised regularly until now. I started the SBD about 4 days ago (on Thursday) and started exercising Fri, Sat, and today (Sun).

I'm taking it easy, my goal is just 20 minutes a day 3 days a week. But, on Sat and Sun, I got headaches midway through working out. I took two tylenol after Saturday, and again Sunday, but I'm just a little worried. I don't want this to happen every time I exercise. Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe it's just because I'm quite out of shape and haven't exercised regularly in so long?

I should mention my weight is 200 and my height is about 5'7".

I would mention it to your doctor just in case it's a high blood pressure thing, but in general it sounds like you might need to drink more water....this has worked for me. Like I say though, check with you doc...

I actually have been drinking a lot of water. I thought that might be it, but I definitely made sure to drink a lot before, druing, and after exercise today...still to have a bad headache afterwards, and in fact until now.

I think I will call the doctor tomorrow.

I'm assuming you are in P1?? Probably a little bonk. Make sure you have a snack about an hour before your workout. A lot of people have trouble working out during P1.

That's exactly what I was thinking as well, W.

I would even try a snack about 30 minutes before exercising-- if it has 20-30g of carbs (not including fiber) along with some protein, that should help prevent low blood sugar. You can get that in p1 with a glass of milk and a handful of roasted chickpeas. Checking with your doctor is still a good idea, of course, but you may need to be armed with "it isn't a low-carb diet" if you bring up SB.

Are you getting enough carbs (i.e. from veggies, beans, dairy)? That would be a good thing to check.
