I am just so frustrated! My skin is a mess-please help+++
I can not decide whether it is a food reaction--I notice when I cut out sugar/processed foods that my skin is clearer--but that isn't the easiest thing to do. I need to lose weight and I am doing weight watchers. I have so many skin care products--some burn. I have like a little grain of sand in my pore that comes to the surface when it finally starts to heal---what is that?? It also takes a long time to heal. Could it be ingrown facial hair. I am 47 and have had a hysterectomy--so I get some facial hair. Thanks! |

Cutting out sugar and other crap foods is the best thing I have ever done for my skin.. I have known this for years.. cut out sugar, my skin is clear and beautiful.
After doing Phase 1 of SB, your cravings for sugar and such will be under control and it will be easier to say NO (like you said it isn't the easiest thing to do.. but it does get easier, and this way of eating was created in way to get rid of those cravings). |

| After several years of reading posts here, some do notice their skin gets worse at first, but then does indeed get better as they stay on plan and learn to eat better. The myriad of positive "side effects" of eating foods that support our health are sometimes overlooked and unforeseen, but are nevertheless mentioned here time and again. |

It's like clockwork when i eat fast food...a greasy burger usually gives me 1 or 2 breakouts.
I'm glad to hear this diet will help my skin! |

I 2nd what everyone else has said. I have always had a little acne, and then about 5 years ago (coincidentally, when I started to gain weight), my face broke out horribly. I ended up getting all sorts of light treatments to get rid of the really bad acne, but I still tend to break out. I've been on SBD for just a little over a week now, and I haven't gotten a pimple since I started. If you have a lot of redness or scarring from previous acne, it might take a while to go away (months or years even). But, I really think that this way of eating has helped my skin tremendously.
Another thing I would suggest is reading The Acne Cure (by Dubrow). He has a really great skin care system in there that helped me a lot when I first started having acne problems. His idea isn't just to get rid of acne, but to lead to healthier skin overall. |

| Just stumbled onto the discussion. I don't know if it's all the water we drink or the wonderful veggies and lean meats, but my skin looks wonderful. I've started to get quite a few compliments on how well I look. I guarantee you, it's SB eating!!! |
