Hey,
I started on 10/15 and a few weeks later the site went down. I had been checking every single day for a long time, but then gave up. Well, I sign online today and find that it is now up. Does anyone know what happened? Why was it down so long? Does this happen a lot? This was actually my #1 resource and it threw me off. I am restarting January 2nd (have so many family dinners in december and one on jan 1st). Anyway, just wondering what the heck happened and if it happens very often? Thanks! |

| I actually have kept an old post...b/c I have come and gone for a long time now(years) and I had been trying for ages..and it was down. I was bummed. But i figured it got closed down by the official site(my own thoughts....no real basis there...) And tonight, I was cleaning out my in box and decided to try it again. HOw happy I am that it is up! But I wonder the same thing you do! And is there anyone I can concact if the site gets moved...LeAnna |

| Interesting....I just applied to the site that recipelover is using. I am not sure if that is her site or what. I just know that I need a site I can come to for information and recipes.....I figured they got shut down by the SB people. But no one in the know...seems to be saying what happened...or at least that is what I think. LeAnna |

Hi guys---
There was some kind of relatively simple board malfunction that could easily have been fixed if we didn't have an absentee landlord....(not to sound ungrateful!! )
Our forum administrator/creator is a person (woman?) who I believe lives over in Southeast Asia and really doesn't frequent the boards much. She probably noticed that her google clicks had MASSIVELY dropped since the end of October and fixed the problem.
Either way I'm glad. This site has helped me so much in my quest. |

Hi Lori - I also started about the same time as you and I had the same problem - when the site when down so did I - off the wagon that is!
It came back last week but I've found it a bit of a struggle to get myself back on track since them. I'm still trying though and hopefully I'll be back to my good self very soon.
I do notice though that there is a lot less traffic here that there used to be and I think people are scared that it'll happen again.
Most people have moved over to Nessa's board which is very good too but more chatty, less basic information than this one. (the same one that recipelover refers to) |

Yeah I noticed your odd hours - I was going to ask about that.
I honestly didn't think you were picking on me - now your hyper-sensitivity is coming out   |

| Ah ha - I'm somewhere in the Mediterranean and it's now 3.15 in the afternoon. I'm also an early riser - usually out walking at 5.30am. I always start SBD the way I mean to go on unfortunately it just doesn't always end up that way!!!! |

Thanks Nessa for the other board. It is nice to have more than one. I was really devestated when this went down because it was right at the beginning of phase 2 and I wasn't sure if I was doing things right or wrong or what. We actually did well until the holidays. We had family dinners all month, and it was really doing a number on my sensitive stomach to go off plan/on plan/off plan, so much. So we decided to stay off plan all month. We go back on Jan 2nd. (we have a final christmas dinner on Jan 1st) I am looking forward to it.
I had tried I think it is Kimboroni's (sp) back up board. I posted a message, tried contacting anyone, but no replies, nothing... Like I said, we did alright until Thanksgiving started. That is when all went downhill.... Add all the thanksgivings (I think 5) with the Christmas Dinners (8) and the December Birthday parties (in our family there are 6 people with december birthdays) then add all the shopping days where it was hard to stop and have a burger with no bun or something lol... It was just hectic. I don't feel bad for going off plan. It is a way of life now and situations come up. Next year should be different because hopefully my body will be used to my meds and diet. Anyway... just think the extra board will be great.
THANKS!!! |
