nope. ticker is fine. phpbb is the bulletin board software that this site uses as the core application that is customized to look like the board you see here. Lots of message boards use it. You want the phpBB ticker code as that is what is compatible with the software here. So the error message likely just reflects that it is being generated by the underlying phpBB software application. The thing that got me thinking about trying another ID is where it said, "WHERE user-id=44053" which looked to be a conditional clause based on a specific user ID in the database likely linked to your user ID "Gwendy". So my thought process was that creating a new ID would give you a new user ID # and you might avoid whatever is tripping you up when you try to log in.
I know of no way to delete an entire user ID. Again that would be a function that only sbdiet could accomplish as an admin. If you don't like Gwendy2, I can change the name to be something else as long as it isn't taken, which of course would leave out the original "Gwendy"
One other thought If you go into Internet Options off your Tools icon (assuming IE 7) and click on the button to delete browsing history, it takes you to another window with a variety of deleting options. Try deleting them all including the forms and stored passwords options.
Finally, so when you go to the main forum index page when you are not logged in, and scroll all the way down, you don't see an area at the bottom to put in userID and password? Or a link at the top of each page that says "Log in"? I still don't get why you start with your profile page. |

| user id is sbdiet. someone posted a "whois" result once. She appears to be out of malaysia or SE asia somewhere. She was somewhat active when she first started it up, but isn't particularly active here anymore. She did install the new anti-spam version of the software a few months ago which was a huge help on that front as the porn spam was totally out of control and the mods had few tools to combat it effectively. view and delete gets old real fast! For the most part, we're on our own. |

I did the Internet Options things with Aol tech yesterday both on aol and internet explorer. But that was a good thought-Thanks!
Well at least glad to know that I didn't cause this whole mess by choosing the wrong ticker code thing
The "new me" seems to be working just fine so far. But, what if it happens again??? YIKES! I'll be getting a new me every week! LOL
If I could only get a new body to go with the new me each time! |

| glad i didn't make any promises! ;) I guess Gwendy's issues were just a precursor of a general impending database glitch. Guess the lack of click thru revenue finally got noticed?? ;) |
