Lately when I try to log in, I keep getting this "Critical Error" page????
How can I fix this as it won't let me log in? Thanks |

| haven't seen that much lately, but I wasn't on much today. Usually means the server is busy I think. You might try clearning cookies and cache (temp. internet files) and trying again. |

| Yeah, I tried all that. It says phpBB Critical Error and DEBUG MODE???? |

| don't know. mods don't control the servers, software or database. Issues are at a higher level than we have the ability to troubleshoot or fix. |

what OS are you using?
what browser are you using?
do you have your browser set to debug mode? if so deselect that. it should help. |

| Debug says it is disabled. Also, when I do finally get logged in by robins hood farm, everytime I go from page or forum to forum that same stupid critical Error debug mode thing pops up and wont let me in for many many tries! I even had Aol online tech guy working with me on thishence deleting foorptints and cookies and stuff . But he said it;s this website???/ Who do I contact to get this resolved??? Thanks |

| It seems to let me log in but only thorough my Profile page and only after SEVERAL tries! But then I still get the critical Error and Debug Mode after every thing /place I try to go? This is so frustrating! Even when I try to submit these posts I get the stupid thing and I to keep trying to submit several times before it will let it go through. |

You can contact the system admin, sbdiet. If you go to the bottom of any page there is a link to "contact message board admin" which takes you to her profile page here with the ability to send a PM or an email. I'm not sure which would work better. Be patient. She make take awhile to respond.
What's curious to me is that I haven't heard of this being a widespread problem or multiple people posting about it. So I'm not completely convinced it's a board problem. Also I've worked with AOL tech support before when I used them as my email provider and internet portal. No offense, but it always seemed like it was somebody else's problem and a lot of their suggestions just did not make sense to me. If your problem isn't resolved by one of their little canned solutions, they really didn't have a clue as to what the problem was, so it had to be the other guy's fault. Just my experience with them. I'm not trying to slough off your issues or minimize them, just not sure what can be done. How about when you do log in, you check the box that says stay logged in all the time? Then if you are "in", you might not have the same log in problems when you come back? |

Oh yeah, I definately agree about the whole AOL thing! That's why we will no longer be having them at end of month. I talked to 2 different tech's and they were both pretty much lost.
I was just wondering that maybe it was "this" website with the problem ONLY because I have done EVERYTHING that I can think of to correct/fix this problem.
I actually have already sent a email in the way you descibed on here over a week ago but have heard nothing yet.
I have checked the keep me logged in all the time thing and I think perhaps that may be the only reason that I can adventually get logged in through my profile after many tries.
My husband and I have both been working on this for over a week now and frankly I just don't know what to try next?
I do appreciate you and the other gal (sorry forgot her name) trying to give what help you can.
If you can think of anything else PLEASE let me know!

Maybe try creating a second ID like Gwendy2 or something like that and see if the issues continue?
Why do you log in through your profile? Not sure what that means? I come in through the forum index at the bottom of the page. Maybe try logging in from a different access point. Either the bottom of the forum index page or the "log in" link at the top of the page. Not sure that will help, but just trying options! ;)
I've sent PMs to sbdiet that were either never picked up or took a long time. I'm always reluctant to suggest that route because I just don't know how much she actually is around here anymore or checks her forum related accounts and emails. |

Is there a way to totally DELETE my first registration (Gwendy) and just try starting completely over with a new one instead of a second one?
(Still using a different name like Gwendy2). |

ok the new me!!! :lol: So far so good!
Hey I just noticed that when I redid my ticker for this new me that the one I highlighted and chose said something about for phpbb users-that's part of what comes in that critical error page! Could it have something to do with the ticker???? Did I choose the wrong one for this site????
