My daughter and I signed up for Wilton cake decorating classes at Michael's. The classes are a blast, and if I eat dinner before hand I have no desire to eat Crisco and powdered sugar with flavoring (which is what you use in the tubes). However, last night I had a parent meeting with a student that ran until 5:00 meaning that I did not have a chance to go home for dinner before I picked up my daughter at the high school. She had already grabbed some dinner at the restaurant across the street, but I had no time to fix SBD friendly stuff. Instead, I ran into a neighborhood deli. The only thing that I could find was a head of raw cauliflower and a bunch of celery.
So...we trooped into class with our huge box of decorating equipment, and the veggies. Have you ever tried to eat raw cauliflower when it is REALLY quiet? It crunches and squeaks. When you break off a chunk it absolutely cracks and pops. I was trying to look attentive while munching, but the instructor stopped and asked me exactly why I had a head of cauliflower sitting in front of me. That was embarassing.
What about you? What was your weirdest SBD food experience? |

Well, I am not sure it's SBD related, well, I guess it could be...
I eat only whole grain stuff now, including the Kashi Cereals. Before I realized how much sugar was in the GoLean Crunch, I poured a bowl and took my first bite ( and that stuff is CRUNCHY!). Now, I had been experiencing MAJOR jaw problems (TMJ), and it had started feeling better that day. I took a bite and BAM! My jaw was back out of sorts again! I couldn't close my teeth after that for 2 days...no more Kashi Crunch for me, ever! |
