I've been getting updates from folks on my horse forum and catching the news when I can - I hope all our So. California members/families are safe.

Thank you for your well wishes. I am one of the lucky ones, my area just smells like an ashtry, but so far no fire.
However, over 500,000 people have now been evacuated in San Diego County, and most of the fires are only 5 - 10% contained. The smallest fire in San Marcos is the only success story so far as it is 100% contained.
I keep telling my family elsewhere it is like being in the plot of a bad movie like Volcano or that one where LA is destroyed. |

How nice to find this post.
DH and I are also one of the lucky ones... we thought we wouldn't have a home when we left on Tuesday, but by the afternoon things were looking up and it's just keeps looking better. We returned home safe and sound and are both back at work.
Our Family and friends are all still safe.
Our thoughts are with those who were not a lucky. |
