I read nutrition books all the time and think I may have gotten this suggestion from one of Dr. Fuhrman's books:

He has found success with patients who only use the steps in their house
for exercise...and for those who TRULY do not have time or opportunity
or the resources to do otherwise.

He recommends climbing up and down all the steps in your house 20 times. This includes basement steps, if you have them. It takes 5 minutes
and makes a difference. I assume the "down" doesn't count, so you would count 20 times going up.

For those who have other equipment, this would be a great added bonus.
For those who can't start with 20 times, set that as a goal and start with as many as you can and build up to 20.

Ah this is a great recommendation, I have a large set of stairs in my house. I cant wait to take off this damn brace on my ankle and get to work. Hopefully only a few more days - I really hope I dont have to go another week. This would also be a great replacement to walking if its raining/too cold/too hot out.
