I love fitness videos, but the few Firm videos I've tried weren't my cup of tea. I know they are very popular. I think there have been many different series they've put out.

If you're thinking of buying, my suggestion is to try before you buy.

Have fun!

Laurel, can you be more specific on what you didn't like about them ? I'll probably buy some dvd in November, so I'm trying to get more infos on different styles.

Well, for one thing, The Firms often use a step, which I personally just don't like so much (partly because my knees and lower back don't like it). Different styles work better for each person's body and disposition.

It's hard to predict which video each person is going to like. There are lots of different factors, including the instructor, the style of teaching, the participants, the set, the moves, the music, etc., etc. Someone might like one Firm video and dislike another. Sometimes you don't know until you actually try it.

To get to know the styles you like, you might want to start with www.collagevideo.com. They break down styles, have short clips, a forum, and you can ask questions. You can do more research on the internet. After a while, you'll get more and more info and start to get an idea of what styles you like.

It can get expensive to buy & to then find you just don't like one. So if you can borrow any to try first, it saves money. (Of course, if you can afford to buy them, more power to you! :D)

Hope you enjoy video exercise as much as I do! :D
