Jadzia

I'm really glad to start this challenge, because last month was not a good one ! First weeks were crazy at work and last weeks crazy at home (renovating the bathroom), which left me with not much time or energy to cook and work out !

So this month I'll focus more into food and exercises. As I have a huge exam on November 1st (argggg less than a month left !!!), studying will also be amongst my focus

Current weight : 156.5 lbs

Weekly goals
1- Buy some new clothes
2- Do not buy any sweets or dessert when I study (at least 5/7 days)
3- study 5 hrs a day (have to make myself study more !) (4/7), at least 2 hours a day the rest of the week

Seems fine !

Are you giving all your clothes, or are you keeping some of the oversized ones ?

I have to go through all my clothes to see if something even still fits me, but for now, I'm thinking about keeping pretty much everything (in boxes). Main reason is that my DH and I want babies, which mean I'll probably need the clothes sometime in the next few years...

Like Jadzia , I'm really happy to be part of this challenge, because last month was not a good one for me too ! Lots of ups and downs rather more days of worries and pains , which left me with not much time or energy to focus and work out !

But then I tried to derive inspiration from every source possible to stay focussed and this will help me as well.

The first thing I do in the morning is Play the song " Am Alive" by Celine while drinking my cofee to start my day with some inspiration.

Weekly goals
1- Need to be organised which includes prepare a TASK list for the day every day morning and before sleeping check the status .
2- Believe in myself , stay positive and think I can figure out any Problem /Issue .
3- Read one inspirational book /quote , begin the day and Meditate.
before dinner.

Thinklike me can you suggest the inspirational book that you are planning on reading, I will try getting it from library ???

Week 1 goals:

1. Exercise at the gym *at least* 4 days this week.
2. Figure out a strength workout I can do at home (Exercise TV?)
3. If I eat completely Beachy *at least* 4 days this week, I will treat myself to a small dish of *real* ice cream on Sunday.

Hi everybody,raj7survey,it's good that you plan on reading something inspiring. There are two books that I'm considering.Think Big,by Ben Carson,I actually read this a few years ago and enjoyed it and thought that it would be quite fitting for anyone who aspires to attain personal goals. It's about a boy who despite his socioeconomic background grew up to be one of the most renown surgeon in the United States and maybe the world. The other book,I'm considering is, Left To Tell, Discovering God Amidst the Rewandan Holocust by Immaculee Ilibagiza.

As for my old wardrobe Jadzia,I'm getting rid of the majority of my clothing.I want and need a new look and I feel so confident that I'm losing the wieight I want a complete makeover.

Best of wishes to every one. We can do it!!!!

I'll keep the title of the books in mind.  I try not to read right now, because when I start reading a book, I can't stop until it's finished, and I can't do that when I'm studying.

Just did my TurboJam workout. I'll probably be quite tired tomorrow, but it's worth it !

Tonight, study time ! Today was supposed to be one of my big study days, but DH and I spent most of the afternoon shopping for a new mattress. It's so much more comfy that my old one. I can't wait 'til we receive it

Anyone interested in being the leader ? Any ideas for a team name ?

I am so excited- this is the 1st challenge I have participated in on any forum! :D

Weigh in 106.3kg (234)

My challenges for this week.
-Clean up the house as it is starting to feel like a cyclone has hit.
-Finish unpacking the boxes of books I have not unpacked (moved in 3 months ago!) and give to charity the ones I shouldn't have bothered moving.
-Work out a weights routine so I don't just stumble from one machine to the other.

Hey everyone !

So far, I'm doing good on cardio and strength (did one of each, and will probably add another cardio session tonight).

My DH was sick all night (he's resting now), so I'm totally exhausted. I'll try to study all afternoon, but I'm having a hard time with the memorization part :?

Just order a new dvd series : HipHop Abs. Music sounds great, and I realize I like those dvd a lot more than good to the gym ! I'll receive them at the end of October, so that will let me the time to get in a good enough shape to be able to follow !

Hiya, how's everyone doing today? Well I've got 1 completely beachy day down, *at least* 3 more to go before my real ice cream treat this weekend..plus I had a good workout at the gym last night: 50 minutes, treadmill walk/run + elliptical. I also did a ton of walking around the city yesterday - it's my preferred method of getting around this relatively small center of Philadelphia where I live and work. The subway and bus systems don't do me too well, only get me about halfway to work.. I've been walking to and from work every day, 1.2 miles and approximately 20-25 minutes each way (with stopping for traffic lights, slow people, etc.).

So I'm not sure I'll get a workout in tonight, but definitely tomorrow night I'll be doing a relatively short cardio workout + anusara yoga class.

Something exciting and fitness-related that I'm gearing up for is a walking/stair-climbing fundraising event for diabetes, and here is my personal page: http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR?px=3717117&pg=personal&fr_id=4590&et=F2B2t9kLcxTsZtMFiUISDQ..&s_tafId=112053

I've been training for months now, and I hope I'll be strong enough to endure all 10 miles and 1000 stairs!

Have a great day~

Hi everyone !

Yesterday I bought myself some new clothes. My pants are now size 8  I used to wear size 12 (but have stick to skirts most summer, since it's not as obvious when they get too big). Funny thing is that skirt would be size 6...

Planned to workout this morning, but had troubles waking up. Still have to recover some sleep from Sunday night. I'll to a TurboJam session tonight.

Kjaceyma - congrats on doing the walking/stair-climbing fundraising event !

Firegoddess541 - What are you studying ? I hope for you your teachers are not too boring

Hi Everyone!

I am so glad I started phase 2 yesterday. I have added 1 apple in per day, an hour and a half before I go to the gym and it made my gym workout so much better!

I was my first workout for the week unfortunately as I had so little energy on phase 1.
I have already done one of my goals- cleaned the house and it is looking so much nicer ( I really hate cleaning!).
